Lol, that's what mine did too. XD And apparently I was wrong and the hat did say some nasty stuff to Ringo. Geeze, at this rate I feel like I should just stop posting here since I get everything wrong.

I should listen to it, I suppose. Pity I still haven't seen episode three yet... it's hard to keep up sometimes.

Just watched episode 5: Lol at the hat trash talking Ringo.

Also with Natsume: There's the homoerotic subtext I was waiting for. Ikuhara does not dissapoint.

After episode 5, just can't shake the feeling that there's something wrong with Kanba. Fundamentally. Possibly mentally. Maybe I'm looking too much into this.

EDIT: Yes, I know, incest. I've watched the first ep like four times already.

Also, am I the only one going crazy having only the TV size version of the ED? Favorite song of the season by far, and it's gotten me into Coaltar of The Deepers, who seem pretty good so far.

Looks like the single is due out on the 31st. Irritating

Try listening to Yukari Telepath (Coaltar's latest album) to tie you over. It's a great album and, dare I say it, "Waterbird" is even better than "Dear Future."

Frankly I'm looking more forward to a full version of the OP.

Exactly who made the subs that had Ringo Symbol Swearing when she threw the Penguin hat? It sort of felt odd since they threw around "bitch" and "whore" earlier.

Honestly, if Ringo had thrown the hat from a bridge, and everything else was the same, I'd be hosting a countdown to the lawsuit.

So, Kanba and Ringo. Both kinda messed up in the head, both up to some kind of creepy things, and both really badass.

I'm hearing rumours that there won't be an episode next week, anyone else know what's up?

I think the show is just taking a one week break, I've heard it's 25 episodes instead of 26 (two full cours) so it makes sense that it would have to take a break at some point or another. So nothing to worry about!

Not the only series on break either. Not sure what's going on

Apparently next week is a holiday week in Japan. I think thats why.

EDIT: Its the Obon Festivals in Japan next week.

Given the nature of her Imagine Spots throughout Episode 4, and the fact that she's a veeeery obsessive Yandere to the point of bugging Tabuki's house, I'd say her grip on reality is probably not the best right now.

I did enjoy her basically punching the Penguin Hat, though. Pointless and counter-productive, sure, but it's so satisfying...

(But yeah, Ringo's crazy and dangerous. On the other hand, Ikuhara series showcasing sane and well-adjusted characters would be more of a surprise at this point.)

Sho is well adjusted and normal, that's probably the reason why he's the main character.

But will it last?

Yeah, I wouldn't bet on him having too many SAN points left by the end of the series.

It comes to me that that teacher dude seemed pretty normal too, but being voiced by Akira Ishida immediately raises a "caution: probably a creep" alarm for me (in the same way that I'm now always surprised when a Toshihiko Seki character isn't a villain).

Gaara, Kaworu Nagisa, Damiya, Lord Voldermort....

Point taken. I wonder if Ikuhara will be able to make Ishida somehow top Damiya in creep factor, though. If you have watched Kemono No Souja Erin, you will know what I mean.

Oh, and there's the crow he's seen with in the OP too. Not exactly the most innocuous of birds when used symbolically (in anything other than Haibane Renmei, anyway)

I know I'm repeating someone else here, but the way the brothers are separated and looking apart at the end of the OP makes me wonder if they are going to end up at odds at some point. I can especially see it happening if Sho and Kanba end up disagreeing on what to do about Himari and the Hat.

It would provide a bit of character development for Sho, who is mostly just "fluffy nice guy" now. I don't think Ikuhara is going to just leave him be static, so there's got to be something happen there.
