And AC Origins seems to be coming in October. So why would it be on July's cover and not Destiny 2? Clearly that leaked image is actually for August :P

Sheesh, this thing has more leaks than the Titanic.
Ptolemaic Egypt sounds interesting though.

We might get to meet the assassin who killed Cleopatra.

Si Vis Pacem, Para PerkeleIt was leaked from a Game Informer meaning it's publicly available... huh. My moral compass isn't helping me decide whether any of this should be spoiler-tagged or not. I mean all of this information is right here. It's also not a lot.
I will believe it when I see it.
And riding camels around the landscape and fighting on camel-back? Oooh, exciting.
Yes, exactly what this series needed - more timed parkour grave-robbing mission. Good lord did I hate Brotherhood, I didn't even bother with half of them because I did all of that crap in II and barely had anything to show for it. It just feels like padding.
That said, exploring ancient Egyptian tombs actually sounds neat.
Alright. Sounding better.
What? Did we just skip Syndicate and Rogue? Were they buggy?

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Didn't Cleopatra commit suicide, though?
And hey, fighting on camelback is entirely possible. Lots of Middle East societies did it, and they're way better for deserts than horses.
But how fast can a camel travel?
And not that I'm saying it's impractical, but, they include it in their list like "fighting on the back of an animal is an innovation for this series." Fighting on horseback kind of sucks no matter what video game it is, other than maybe Dynasty Warriors. Now we'll be fighting on the back of what I imagine to be a slower and potentially less armored animal.
Wasn't there a "call horse" button in II and III? I can't imagine a camel racing to your side.
But evidently I'd be wrong.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Allegedly
I Bring Doom, and a bit of gloom, but mostly gloom. In the AC universe, Cleopatra was outright assassinated, yes. We know this from AC II. Desmond and Ezio find the statues of a bunch of Assassins and we hear a bit from their history. Amunet was a female Egyptian assassin who planted a snake on Cleopatra's room to kill her.
I'm going to bet we'll definitely hear something of her in this game, yeah.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Yep, Origins confirmed and will be taking place in Egypt. Don't think it's involving Cleopatra though because I see no indication of a Romanized Egypt.
It wouldn't fit the timeline
We know its the reign of Pharaoh Unas during Origins. We know this because the leaked screenshot showed us a mission objective mentioning Unas' Queen, Khenut. This places us in the 5th Dynasty of Egypt which is 2494 to 2345 BC. Unas is specifically 2375 – 2345 BC and is the last of the 5th Dynasty Pharaohs.
Cleopatra lived during 51 to 30 B.C. So, we have a 2,000+ year gap between the two time periods.
Trailer was just released on the Ubisoft Facebook.
At the very least, it seems Camels and Horses will both appear.

Along with Greeks? O.o
Anything interesting about Uncas?
I Bring Doom, and a bit of gloom, but mostly gloom.Nothing on Wikipedia. When I put in "Uncas" they give me an Indian/Native American guy.
Their was an Unas who was said to be the last of the fifth dynasty rulers. His pyramid was a piece of crap and is now a ruin. Egyptians at the time didn't seem to think the end of his reign marked the end of anything, suggesting the sixth dynasty may have been related.
I Bring Doom, and a bit of gloom, but mostly gloom.Unas? Are we Stargate now?
*goes to check That Other Wiki*
And suddenly I realize why the Goa'uld's first hosts were name the Unas.
I know, was just making a stupid joke.

A youtube video pointed out Bayek has the same lip-scar as Desmond and his ancestors. Sounds like Desmond's going to be posthumously important again.
He's also wearing an eagle skull necklace that looks suspiciously like the Assassin Brotherhood emblem. Was it meant to be an eagle skull all along?

Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite."We're moving in a more RPG direction"
- RPG direction really just boils down to skill trees and weapons upgrades that the last two games had*
Uhhhhhh...
Having an Eagle Animal Companion is also just asking for them to get shot down at some point. Followed by a quest or two where we don't have them, they die dramatically, but the Protagonist unlocks an upgraded form of Eagle Sense which operates the same way but more powerfully.

What's with all the Greeks, anyway?
If anything my only real annoyance with it is that there was no real reason to do the "2012 DOOMSDAY!" plot that was in the first five games. There's no indication in 3 that anything is wrong, and there hasn't been any indication since other than that one, single news broadcast at the end of 3 about the Earth surviving a massive solar flare with nothing but electrical blackouts.
