Oh my gosh...chapter 69...Oh my gosh... ANOTHER HUMAN WHO CAN SEE YOUKAI. Aand they wasted it on sappy one-shot-ish romance. Shucks. And chapter 70 was funny.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Necro because WE. ARE. GETTING. A. FIFTH. SEASON!!!!! THIS YEAR!!!
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot./high pitched screaming
i. hear. a. sound. It's not Brain's Base though, but Shuuka. Which is kind of expected, since many of BB's staff moved over to the latter.
That's good. I'm glad they're making a new season. I hope this season will as good as the others. This is a great thing to know.
We back in action y'all! And it's the pot ayakashi arc from the manga! I think it's easier to understand in anime format, maybe I'm just dumb or maybe the translation I read wasn't so good. Lots happened this episode! I really liked that acorn yokai!
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.(This thread seems kind of inactive, despite the anime almost half way done.)
Yeah I know what you mean. The anime has done a great job of re-imagining the chapters so far. Particularly the scenery in the second half of episode 3 where they provided a lot more detail to the scenery/location compared to the manga, episode 5 since I find mansion chapters confusing to navigate, and the pot ayakashi chapter that you mentioned.
My only concern is that they've mostly been leaning to the human focused chapters (episode 3,4,5. 1 kind of counts) more than the ayakashi. While I like the human focused chapters, I was hoping they could potentially create 2 seasons instead of just 1. However, it feels they are squeezing all the human chapters into this season which makes 2 seasons not likely a case. Not to mention the ordering and event placement is a bit odd. For example, they introduced the forbidden spells concept pretty early since Natori doesn't talk about until a much later chapter in a different context (it felt more forced in brought it up in the anime). I'm hoping the anime still covers that chapter (since it was one of the more confusing/ambiguous ones) but even so, I wonder how much of the pacing will be effected by it. The next episode is also an older OVA which is weird since they still have a lot of manga chapters to draw on from.

There's a new series! Happy happy joy joy!
Plants are aliens, and fungi are nanomachines.
(Thank you for pointing out my mistake ><). I never even considered the possibility the Ito-san at the end being an imposter. Who knows? it may end with real Ito-san having died some time after Tanuma left
I feel I need to comment about this as I noticed it a bit more in this chapter. I can't help but feel very happy for Natsume in this chapter. I mean, remember from chapter 36 (?) where Taki mentions that Natsume is more honest to youkai then to humans (aka like openly getting mad at them or having into squabbles with Nyanko-sensei). Well, I'm sorta noticing something it more with his interactions with his friends in this chapter. Like Natsume's (and Nyanko's) little smirks throughout the chapter (loved them), his whining to Tanuma about wanting to go to an onsen and then his teasing with Nishimura about the "kettle ghost", their pillow fight, etc... I see this as some product of Natsume's character development. I just can't help but feel happy for him
Yeah and the wait is hard (especially considering how rare such an event like this, considering this series episodic nature)
What protective youkai?
