I'm tempted to suggest Smart Ass And Dumb Ass.
Fight smart, not fair.It depends on how each example plays out. Most anime examples though are directly from the Boke and Tsukkomi Routine. Its a dynamic that gets alot of play. Someone has to make a dumbass comment or a really bad snark the Boke, and get corrected or yelled at (most of the time violently, Paper Fan of Doom prefered) with a Tsukkomi.
As well as quite a few that follow the Abbott And Costello style (The page says its a Punch And Judy Show?)
A Redirect of Smart And Dumb Dynamic would work.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Well, I was thinking more along the lines of just making Dumb And Smart it's own thing but I wanted to know maybe we need to split this and it up before I proposed a new trope.
No, what this needs is a serious rename to something non-opaque. I mean, Jesus... I read the title and went, "What the hell is that about?" The minute I read the description I didn't think of anime (which is obviously where the title comes from...), I thought of Martin and Lewis.
The trope description needs work, as well. Its written as if this only happens in Japan.
Being in a Japanese-produced work is not enough of a difference to warrant its own trope.
This should be a page describing the specifically Japanese comedy act. The non-Japanese examples need to get split off into a supertrope about two-man comedy routines.
Boke And Tsukkomi definitely deserves its own page, its one of the hallmarks of Japanese comedy, and is used all the time.

We don't need a special, separate sub-page for every regional variant of a standard trope. A sentence or two about how it's portrayed in Japan or Bollywood should be more than sufficient.
This is TV Tropes, not Subtle-Differences-Between-Nations tropes.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Because clearly you are an expert in such things, right?
There are two threads on this.
Already completely resolved in the other thread.
I was looking for a general Dumb And Smart trope (you know a Foil type trope like Fat and Skinny or Tomboy and Girly Girl) and found this.
The trope is about a specific thing, but we got some examples shoehorned in there. Plus it seems like a Dumb And Smart type trope should be enough to stand alone and get popular by it's self.
