Eh. Not a fan, but don't mind it that much.
Fight smart, not fair.Ummmm...I really don't know what to think about that.
Motion to pull
The trope is about children having a crush on adults, the image shows a girl having a crush on a young boy.
That's a much clearer objection. Support with Osmiums reason.
Fight smart, not fair.I think that's supposed to be an adult. But it's clearly confusing.
Support replacing. Not sure about pulling.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman. The first idea that comes to my mind for an alternative is to find an image, from My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic, that shows how obsessed Spike is with Rarity. I might come up with other ideas later on.
As for looking for a specific image... well, first off I want to find out how good an idea it is to begin with.
Theoretically, I think a more realistic drawing, if not photos altogether, would be best. Using stylized horses is a bit harder.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.Ponies and dragons, to be precise. And the size difference makes it clear that either he's a young boy with a crush on an older girl, or their size difference is VERY unreflective of their age difference.
For what it's worth, that's fanart, but it's drawn in a style almost indistinguishable from that of the show itself. I think it captures the size difference and personality difference well; not only is she bigger than him, but she is recoiling like a grossed-out teenager.
EDIT: Just to be clear, I am not in any way implying that this is the only option. It just happens to be what comes to mind for me, because from what I've seen of the show, it really seems to portray the Precocious Crush concept well, hence my inclination to suggest it.

The fact that they're two different species and drawn in a really cutesy style makes it hard to tell that there's a significant age difference.
Agreed. Also, we might want to avoid the permeation of My Little Pony. A lot of threads have been suggesting screens from it. It's like that influx of Haruhi Sazasomthingorrather.

If the pictures fit, they fit. And if it's a flood, the wiki hive mind will weed out most of them for better ones.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. The trouble is, it only works if you're familiar with the show. There you can hear the younger voice for Spike, and see his kidlike ways. They both look like cutesy animals without context.
Yeah, Spike and Rarity don't look like they have much of an age difference if you don't know the show.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdI don't know, I thought that image really gave off a "little boy madly in love with a teenage girl" feel, with or without familiarity with the show. Then again, my familiarity with the show may be biasing that assumption.
In any case, I'm not sure yet what else to suggest, but other users here could probably come up with something.
EDIT: On second thought, another idea that comes to mind is Anakin's crush on Padme in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace; it's a fairly well-known example, and by Attack Of The Clones, the same age difference ends up being less significant, she takes his affection more seriously, and eventually their relationship develops only to go haywire, especially in Revenge Of The Sith. The question is, would a still image from The Phantom Menace capture this crush? If not, would it be worth it to resort to fanart or something like that?

Akasaka and Rika from Higurashi.
I've known about it since the beginning. But I just refused to believe it.Hm, 2 shows something.
Fight smart, not fair.1 is tacky. 2 she looks like she's just surprised at being picked up. 3 is horrible fan art. Combined with Anime's tenancy to have characters that are the same age look that different in age, perhaps we should steer away from it to mediums that tend to be clearer.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickThen it's a bad image, because as pointed out before, this is about a kid having a crush on an adult. :)
4 no good
5 I can see the trope but only because I know to look for it
6 LOL - nice, but I don't think so.
I don't think Akasaka/Rika would be a good choice, since in-series its very debatable in Rika likes Akasaka..
Anyone have any Kodomo No Jikan pics that could work?
4 looks like daddy and daughter. 5 looks like first communion. 6 looks more Morality Pet
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickBesides Rika really isn't this trope.
In the VN, it has been confirmed that Rika has a huge crush on Akasaka.
Also, you could argue that it's because Rika has lived her life over and over again, but when she crushes on Akasaka, it's made purposely obvious that her feelings were that of a young girl just reaching puberty. That is what Rika is after all. She's just a little girl.
I've known about it since the beginning. But I just refused to believe it.
Maybe it would help if I'd taken more than one year of Japanese? Even if that's the case, not exactly the clearest image.
