Winx Club on Nickelodeon

Episode 2. Not bad. It's nice to see Roxy getting on with Magic, though I kind of wish she did something. Meanwhile, Aisha hasn't forgotten Nabu, poor girl. I do kind of like how the Trix are approaching Tritannus instead of the other way around. I'm just going to pretend the last episode didn't happen.

It was a bit like Captain Planet, but a certain amount of cheesiness is required, so I don't mind.

There will be no Rai English for Season 5 and 6. And personally, I don't care lol
I just wasn't a fan of Rai English. The only thing I liked was it being uncut.

Woo, I am glad I am not a hardcore Winx fan or Anime fan. Because there seems to be some kind of battle against the show and its progression.

I just found out about it today. As said, I am not that into Winx to search for it daily and join a forum, but I find it to be a fun series.

In terms of continuing the series. The characters going into a new phase, the show returning to North American broadcasting etc. Although it is coordinated with Nickelodeon, I doubt they have much say in series. But people seem to want to dump everything negative on them. Not getting that it is Rainbow and Co. that are still in charge of the series and animation.

I'll miss the RAI English dub. It's what I watched. Yeah, the voice acting sucked during the first season, but it improved. The season 3 dub was actually good. Too bad the movies and season 4 had a drop in quality. Well, Nick isn't bad. Their acting is objectively better for the most part, but Stella's was much better in the RAI dub IMO. My only real problem with Nick is the whole "fairy of the *power*" thing.

Though this does mean there is no complete English dub of the series.

Stella's voice did always sound better 'Royal', plus it didn't make her feel like she was 16 (She's in her twenties now, she should have a more mature voice.).

Even if there is no complete English dub, at least the entire show is available in English. Though RAI always had better theme songs (Especially the first season and the fourth).

Do you mean continuity errors? But those have plagued this show since the third season's first episode, so why bother crying foul now?

I said nothing of errors, and I was not complaining about past seasons. My comment is to those who have stuck with the series since the beginning.

• I don't get Icey. Where did she learn to become such a tease and a fake?
  • She charms males to get what she wants then drops em'. It will not surprise me if this is done with Titanius.
• I can now see how the debut episode (listed as the fifth episode) would have been an oddity if not aired first after the end of S4. However, it makes it seem as if there was a large gap between the flower and the jailing.
• lol I am glad Aisha is back to being the 'brute' of the group, they need a hands on fighter and Aisha fits it.
• Did those fish fairies refer to themselves in the third person? or was I hearing things?

Episode 3. Not bad.

• Why are the Trix on Andros anyway? The last time they were anywhere near that place, Andros almost blew up.
• I also can't tell whether or not Icy is doing some villainous networking, or if she's actually into him. It mostly sounds like she's just using him, but some of her comments to herself make me think otherwise. Darcy and Stormy on the other hand seem to be coming along just because they have nothing better to do.
• Tritannus is like a poor man's Valtor. Brainwashing mermaids, buff evil form, possible romance with the Trix. Still, at least there is a decent reason for him to go to Earth. Most other places probably don't have much, if any pollution thanks to magic and advanced technology.
• I'm not feeling much sympathy for Sky. He and Bloom never seem to be able to just sit down and talk when one of them needs to.
• Aisha is indeed awesome. Hope she continues like this.
• This also confirms that The Lilo is either episode 5 like rumored, or in the same continuity as Magical Adventure, which means its off in its own little continuity. Personally, I think it's the latter.

Episode 4. Well, this is actually looking good.

• Something I didn't note earlier, but it looks like the Winx have truly closed down Love and Pet. And nothing of value was lost.
• Princess Crystal. Ignoring how we're going to get some more contrived romantic drama (albeit, out of a couple that hasn't had much drama) I like seeing her. Now we finally have 100% confirmation that Flora is not a princess, which leaves Tecna as the only one who could go either way. Personally, I hope she isn't.
• Good to see the Trix get a much needed power boost. They still can't win, but they can at least give a decent fight now.
• The shadows of the Ancestral Witches still hangs over the series. Its good to know exactly why Daphne is a spirit when she should be dead. Hopefully Sirenix is more than just the water version of Sophix and Lovix.
• I knew it wasn't going to happen, but I had a faint hope that the Winx would use Enchantix back on Magix. Oh well, guess they still need to sell those dolls.
• Looks like some people hope for a Tritannus redemption. If Icy is really just using him, there might be hope for him, though after what the Fairy Hunters did, the Winx would probably be suspicious of any sort of surrender.
• I still feel no sympathy for Sky about his pendant. If its really so serious, ask Aisha for help or something. Or at least talk with Bloom. Amnesia at least makes things less stupid, but only a little.
• But next episode is looking awesome. Tecna may finally be getting some attention. And turning into a robot. How can that not be cool.

• lol I am sure Love-n-Pets shop still exist, but it was only created to get Earthlings to believe in magic. Now that people (or some of the populace) are aware of magic and now fairies, I say mission accomplished and the shop isn't required anymore. Plus Tecna can handle just about everything via internet when it comes to the pets.
• Yeah, I like the "Princess" and "Not Princess" mix when it comes to Winx. Plus if they were all Princesses, they would likely not be traveling without strict rules placed upon them. We already see that with Aisha and Stella, but at least their parents are understanding.

• I am still confused about the Trix's motives. Because once again Darc and Storm are teasing Icy about the whole Tritannus thing. And I am still getting the feeling that Icy is just playing the guy for power reasons. I mean, the dude is just seriously p*ssed off about the "dad likes you best" thing.
  • Usually when there is a Trix plan all the sisters plan it together, but clearly Icy took charge. So something is going on.
• Common, poor Sky fell on his freakin' head! That was a pretty violent fall.
  • Perhaps it is best that Sky leave the pendent thing alone, I mean... look what happened when Nabu made a love proposal to Aisha
  • On a different note, some people find it cheese about the whole "forever girlfriend" thing, but don't consider that Aisha is a Princess and she has her parents (the King and Queen) to deal with if Nabu wanted her as a fiance.
• Last note about Tritannus... >_> he is starting to become a drug addict. I hope they don't push that too far, this is a kids show after all. But then again, maybe they should. I am conflicted about it, because I find it to be a disturbing distraction.

• Icy is hopefully just manipulating Tritannus, but the episode recap said that she fell madly in love with him. So hopefully the recap has no idea what it's talking about. Darcy and Stormy are probably just tagging along for the hell of it. Who knows, maybe the fifth attempt will go better than the last four, and its not like they have anything better to do.
• Do remember that Aisha and Nabu were originally in an Arranged Marriage with each other before the parents called it off. I'm sure they would be happy to see them get together.
• Bloom and Sky are supposed to be engaged, but at this point I think the show has forgotten. Though I am impressed that Sky didn't break his neck during that fall.
• Tritannus as a drug addict. That wouldn't be a bad way to play him out, but if he's going to be the Big Bad, he's going to need to get a lot more oil and pollution. At the moment he and the Trix are Wizards of the Black Circle level of strength at best. Strong, but not conquer the universe strong.
• Also, I forgot to note MIRTA! Sure its only a cameo at best, but at least she appeared.

• lol the recaps are so broken, I just like looking at them for screencaps purposes .
  • Maybe Icy just likes being attracted to jerks because she's a jerk. Perhaps she just knows she can't beat Winx on her own so she just gathers people to do it for her. Out of all the sisters, she seems the most conniving [if that is the right word] and heartless. Stormy is angry and Darcy is hmm sinister?
• Foo, that's good. My viewing of Winx seasons isn't consistent. Now it just makes the whole Nabu situation even more upsetting *holding back da tears*
• I wonder if Sky's father would be happy that he wants to date the Fire Princess. He did try to give his son tons of jewels so he wouldn't be a commoner.
  • The Trix still didn't give a darn about him afterward. And when you consider that zap was meant for Bloom, it becomes a "whoo" moment... at least for me.
• Tritannus appears to not doing the "take over the world", so much as ' become ruler of the oceans because people don't like him very much, compared to his brother '. yada yada. He is so far a young male who wants to do bad but has no experience doing it.
• lol everyone seems to really like Mirta. I guess it is the appeal of a 'heel face turn' but she wasn't really a bad girl to begin with. My headcanon is that she and Roxy hang out.
  • And exactly why is there a witch side to Magix anyway? It's not like the girls are put in a face-to-face battle of the species or something.

Now we get to episode 5. As I thought , it's less interesting than I'd hoped, but whatever.

• So if Sky even forgot his own father, does he even remember how to fight? Either way, it looks like they'll have to get that stupid pendant to heal him.
• Tritannus definitely has the hots for Icy. Icy's feelings are still unclear. Darcy and Stormy look ready to ditch when things get bad enough. I do wonder how they're going to threaten Daphne.
• Nereus and Liega are both idiots. Or just naive. Tritannus himself sure doesn't care about his family.
• Do I smell Tecna episode? Well it wasn't, though she did get some screen time at least. The robot curse thing made her run on pure logic, but was she looking for the book for the Winx or the Trix?
• Judging by how this episode ends, I now declare The Lilo to not have any place in current continuity.
• As for the next episode, it's not Linphea, but at least we get to see more of the Magic Dimension.

Episode 6. A lot of interesting stuff happened.

• Oh Diaspro. You disappear for a season and 2 movies, then show up again helping the good guys just after you became an outright antagonist. Personally I hope her Heel–Face Turn is genuine, but I doubt it. Either way, Crystal obviously knows nothing of their past with Diaspro.
• Tritannus isn't that strong. They fought him once and declared him the new big threat to the Magic Dimension. Wait until he does something more threatening than breaking out of prison, brainwashing mermaids, and powering up the Trix. There's no need to risk everything yet on a quest that could easily backfire.
• I hear Ancestral Spirit of Nature, and I keep thinking Ancestral Witches.
• I doubt that fairies from everywhere are competing for this prize considering that there are only a dozen fairies there.
• Musa's comments about always wearing heels. Good one. And mostly true, except for Enchantix.
• HOLY SHIT! Tecna actually mentioned Zenith! It took them long enough, but they finally remember that Tecna came from somewhere, even if it's 2 seasons late. I think she got more back story here than any other time.
• The Trix are starting to feel slightly overpowered. How does Darcy knock out Stella, Musa, and Tecna in one blow?
• We all knew it was coming, but Harmonix really had little buildup. Though I guess that was always going to be true since it's only a stepping stone towards big bad Sirenix. Also, it sounds like it should be a music related transformation.
• I hope that Daphne stays a spirit, but I guess I don't mind if they fully revive her.
• I do like the Harmonix music. The costumes and transformations on the other hand are really bland.
• And they finally get to Andros and meet their new little companions.

@ep5 The Sirenix Book

• lol at least the Darc and Storm are getting more vocal about Icy's behavior. And yes, I am still lost by this point. She even seemed afraid to 'upset him', but by this episode they are pretty much even in power.
  • The sisters are clearly not jealous of Icy, more so annoyed because they are not really 'in on the plan'. They look happier when Tritannus isn't hanging around.
• That was messed up with Tritannus did to his family. Then again, he shot at his father and is sucking pollution. I can understand his brother being turned, but not his mother. What did she do to him? Love him too much?
• Bloom is being rather patient with Sky. But when she is called to duty she is quick about it.
• After seeing ep6 and then thinking back to this one, you see how 'technical' Tecna can get. She gets so focused, I think she sort of forgets the point of the situation.
  • On one hand, she was being helpful, on the other hand she nearly destroyed the place. I wonder why they didn't work harder to blast her lol.
• In the end she need some 'friendship' boost to find da book. Sometimes Tecna needs a good 'wrap to the head'.
• Yeah, the Lilo was clearly a 'getting to know you again' Winx ep. For the USA they know them from S4. But for others outside the US, the Winx have been gone for quite a bit. If you minus the film releases.

@ep6 The Power of Harmonix

• Seriously love Bloom's voice in this part, she is so... hopeful and gentle about things.
• lol fans were all up on Krystal's case about the Diaspro thing. She doesn't know about the previous encounters. And to be Diaspro isn't exactly 'Trix-evil', she is a girl like Bloom who lost her love to another woman. However, for this, she seems genuine about helping Sky.
• What I like about this ep, is despite the upcoming hardship it was very well paced and calming. lol this despite the fight with the Trix, who seem to be getting mean just for the heck of hurting others. Trying to drop a horse of the cliff for example. Oyi, I hope Flora gets stronger because she's getting bounced around like a ball at every fight. Sure if you get her upset enough she puts up a good fight.
  • They should do more 'girl time hikes' ^_^ it gets more insight to how they currently feel about each other and their past. Tecna's social awkwardness with Timmy seems to make more sense, as well as her need to be so 'straight forward' about everything.
  • Creature of the Rainbow Mantle is cool looking, reminds me of Starlite from Rainbow Brite.
• Gotta love Stella's outfit choices. Those were some cute sailor designs.
  • Harmonix is quite lovely, can't wait to see all 6 in one go! And they either extended the song or changed it?. I personally like the simplicity of Harmonix... even though you have the 'long dress tail' to deal with, it isn't the traffic stopping - heavy duty bigarse wings glitter all over the freakin' place- like Enchantix was.
• I think Aisha should be leading the group for the underwater stuff, it is her specialty.

I have finally cleaned up the Winx Club page. Now it's mostly free of Natter and the like. As for episode 7, it was decent.

• The new Selkies really just bring to mind a lamer version of the pixies. They're not terrible in any way, but the bonding is definitely a repeat of the pixie bonding.
• The self-confidence tests were decent and highlighted some of the issues each of them is going through, but they were resolved way too fast. More importantly, whether he is dead or just in a coma, this confirms that they all consider Nabu dead, which basically means to me that he's dead.
• It's nice to see Solaria again, but being underwater doesn't give much room to see more of the planet. Still, it's nice.
• They aren't demonizing Diaspro much, but from what Sky is saying it seems she hasn't changed much. Oh well.
• Personally, I like Tecna's Harmonix the most, but that's just me talking. And I almost always like Tecna's transformations the most.
• The Trix have beaten their new record on how fast they were made jokes again. Harmonix is supposed to make the Winx fight better underwater, not give them a massive power boost. I'm going to pretend that Harmonix just counteracts Tritannus's power boost somehow.
• Tecna's x-ray vision was cool. She was really on the ball this episode, smacking around Darcy and Stormy and then fixing the pipe.
• It's starting to get really annoying how Flora keeps getting screwed over this season. She misses out on the Archive Battle due to Flora being injured, she got tossed around all last episode, and now she gets turned to stone. It's like the writers are trying to make her incompetent.
• Sky seems to be remembering some stuff, but as usual that stupid pendant is all he'll think about.
• It's about time for Tritannus start looking for Daphne.
• Next episode is looking interesting. It matches the leaked spoilers, so you might want to be careful for the next few weeks if you want to evade spoilers. They're going in groups of three again, with Musa's group heading to Melody. It's time to properly see her planet and get some more backstory.

=_= Nick with their scheduling brought down the Winx ratings and caused a hiatus. It was moved three times already, why don't they get a clue? And placing it in Winx previous slot doesn't help either.

Isn't this a general Nickelodeon thing (both Domestic and International)? As soon as a show starts doing well they think they can move it somewhere else to capitalize by showing some other new thing (or old thing that has toys it needs to sell). It's led to the cancellation of every non-Dan Schneider live action comedy (and even he can't help cancel his own shows, makes me wonder why they keep making them if they're proved to be horrible failiures).

And the mid-season hiatus thing is a little early, but I was sure that they'd cut the Digital Animation and CGI parts of season 5 into two halves. They should really learn that they don't have the same audience as ABC or the CW who will stand for things like that since their shows are all interchangeable anyways.

After another stupid hiatus, America finally gets episode 8. Kind of disappointing though.

• Saladin and Roxy had cameos at the party. Good to see old Saladin hasn't been forgotten.
• They are definitely going to be pushing Roy X Aisha. I don't particularly like it, especially since he's got nothing interesting about him yet, but if they do get together I guess it's okay. I'd rather it be in Season 6, but whatever gets Aisha to stop moping.
• Now I can finally take Tritannus somewhat seriously. Neptune going down was obvious, though I was hoping that Tressa would escape to do something later. Tritannus is never going to be taken as seriously as most previous antagonists, but he's coming around in his own way.
• Oh hey, the Magix Selkie. Looks like they remember that Magix is indeed it's own planet. If she's going to heal, then she's going to need to see someone from Magix, except we don't know anyone that is definitely from Magix.
• Stella is being really stupid with Aisha again. Which seems to be a trend between the two.
• Onward to Melody. We saw glimpses of it in Season 2, but this is the first time they've been to the planet, and in a sense, the last planet the Winx have visited since they've been to Zenith in the comics.
• While it's nice to see Musa remember her mother, I think we should have at least seen her dad. Or Galatea.
• Oh hey, Musa is repeating Tecna's earlier transformation. Lame. So much for this being a Musa episode. I do like Stella's boomerang, even if it does seem odd.
• And now we meet Sona, the Melody Selkie. I kind of like her; she's brave enough to confront the mutant Musa even when she's depowered. It still makes me miss the Pixies. Hopefully the Selkies and Pixies can meet someday.
• Still don't care about the Bloom/Sky drama, especially now that they've ironed out the rough parts and just need to find that stupid pendant.
• And Daphne gets captured just like that. I would've hoped that a ghost nymph could take better care of herself. Or that she could run to Domino.
• As for the next episode, We shall finally see Zenith in the show. Except we also have to deal with Stella's stupid fashion show. Waste of time that should be used to explore the technology planet. Why do I get the feeling that we won't be able to confirm whether or not she is a princess? Or even see anyone else from her world? The implication is that she's not a princess, but the stage is set for a surprising revelation. Or maybe the mystery will continue for another 2 seasons.
• Italy is releasing the episodes much faster, so spoilers are going to be popping up in various places.

Episode 9. AKA, a big disappointment.

• I know Daphne is probably going to be fine in the end, but I can't help but have this feeling that she has a chance of dying for good at the end. It's very unlikely, but possible.
• Bloom, if you think your sister is in trouble, AT LEAST GO TO HER LAKE! I'm going to blame Sky for this.
• Stella is back to being obnoxious again. I really wish that she would stop regressing again and again.
• Even the Sirenix Box thing is getting tired of her. Good to see someone smack her down, especially since Musa isn't very good at it anymore.
• Hey, Red Fountain. Haven't seen that place in a while. Sometimes I wonder how Brandon puts up with Stella. They go well together, but Stella really does stupid things a lot.
• A fashion show. What a nice way to not advance the plot at all. Even Roxy decided it was stupid.
• Bloom is right that Tecna and Timmy don't seem to be very good at traditional dating. Still, those two are probably the stablest relationship right now, so maybe they know something the others don't.
• Finally, to Zenith. Time to see what Tecna's planet is actually like.
• Another Selkie, more fodder for Tritannus. Getting repetitive. Though I do like how this one managed to stay up long enough to find Tecna on her own.
• 3-year old Stella. More time waste. I do admit, I would find this amusing if we didn't have more interesting things to see.
• Alright Roy, time to make a good impression. He seems to be combination of Sky (competitive) and Nabu (calm and uses some magic to help the Winx). He's starting to grow, but if he's to be Nabu's replacement, he's going to need something a lot more unique and interesting to him.
• More bonding. And apparently they know each other without introducing themselves? Digit would probably be jealous.
• Alright, that palace looks really cool. Big and techno. It is odd that it's completely deserted, since defense forces were called in. Maybe officials aren't making any hast moves? Also, what is an underwater fortress doing there? So many questions, and no answers.
• Riddle is really easy. Might as well just give them the location.
• Aisha is fighting someone again. What is with her and fighting her fellow Winx anyway?
• Roy puts on a decent showing with a nice staff.
• Bloom solves everything. Lame.
• I really feel sorry for Flora and Brandon. They are way too nice to Stella.
• So what did we learn about Zenith this episode? Did we confirm whether or not Tecna is a princess? Have we actually met somebody else from her planet? Oh wait, nothing was answered ar shown. Massive waste, or something else?
• Next episode, Trix get back in business. A return to Linphea. Really convenient how the clues and gems are on all of their home planets.
• While I'm massively disappointed with Zenith this episode, what we got was pretty cool. I'm hoping it wasn't shown so that the writers have more room to do what they want with it later on. Maybe technology will be the focus of season 6? Unlikely, but you never know.

Another episode, another disappointment. Come on people, post some more.

• Yeesh, the Trix are torturing Daphne pretty brutally. It really cements that no matter how much we may like them, they are evil.
• Oh hey, Saladin. Nice to hear you speak old man.
• If Sky doesn't remember how to ride a Windrider, then why is he even in the competition? Because everyone is a moron, that's why.
• The Trix can basically run around Alfea all they want now. Not good.
• Looks like the Crystal/Helia subplot has been forgotten. Oh well, she wasn't interesting anyway.
• New Selkie didn't even try to put up a fight. Tritannus should try fighting the Winx directly if he's so confident that he can beat them.
• 3 monsters vs. all of Alfea and a lot of Red Fountain. Somehow I don't think the Trix's plan is that good.
• Mirta doesn't even try to do anything. Why can't she be more than a background extra. Same goes for Roxy actually.
• To Linphea. Since we've already seen the planet, I'm not that annoyed that we're not seeing much of it. Still somewhat disappointed. It really feels like the writers are just hitting a checklist.
• Monsters go down pretty easily. No surprises there.
• Bonding is repetitive. Test is really easy and boring. Stella's reactions to the plants were the only slightly interesting thing on Linphea.
• Trix ambush. Pretty nice one too. Too bad for them the other Winx decided to show up. Bloom and Sky need to figure out how to stop being human shields for each other.
• Aisha slammed Icy into the cliff. Aisha, stop being so awesome. Give the others a chance to do something cool.
• All in all, the Sirenix quest was boring while the Trix stuff was decent. Oh well, we're almost done with it.
• Next episode, Domino. Time to finally meet Oritel and Marion in the show proper. They should make the next episode a little more exciting.

Gotta get back on track, since I am missing episodes.

Now, I have to resort to online uploads. Unless Nick has them.

While Tritannus has been pretty underwhelming so far, the Trix are probably at their best since season 2. They've managed to be fairly competent throughout the season, if not overpowered like they were in season 2. They aren't jokes like they were in season 3, and they aren't the wannabe world conquerors they were in season 1. It's similar to how they were in Magical Adventure, but they can hold their own against the Winx now even when the Winx are at their full strength. It's a decent balance, albeit one slanted in the Winx's favor. Darcy and Stormy are acting like they usually are, so Icy's true feelings for Tritannus will probably shape their season 5 reputation.
