Czechia and Slovakia? They're doing fine, economically. Of course, they should have been forced to abolish the Benes decrees.
Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken. Unrelated ME1 FanficAdmitting Croatia in the EU is far less of a mistake then Romania, Bulgaria and Greece.
Let's see if the EU will exist before Bosnia fulfils its conditions.
It will! It's the world second or first biggest economy. Even with Greece it still is powerful. The Euro money thingy may crash, but the grand supranation will not!
Is there a possibilty of the EU breaking in case of the split of Belgium?
The sin of silence when they should protest makes cowards of men.If they don't finally split up Bosnia it might even outlive the EU just like the DRA outlived the USSR.
I ♥ the VRSWait what? You want Bosnia to split up, or the Great Supranation? Because if its the latter, my dreams of a Grand Federation will be crushed.
Bosnia up of course which I even said. I thought you as a native would be more adept in the English language than I am.

I ♥ the VRSSorry, sorry. I'm a little tired. I can't read properly when I'm tired.
In that case, should the Serbian Republic remain independent, or merge with Serbia?
The sin of silence when they should protest makes cowards of men.Why not let them join Serbia, if a referendum decides so? This clinging to established borders even against the wishes of the population creates more ill than good, and is undemocratic, too. At least, that's my opinion. Of course, I'm rather far away from that place, heh.

The sin of silence when they should protest makes cowards of men.Unfortunately last time they tried that a whole lot of people, you know... well, died.
The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books.I never got the partition of Yugoslavia. Making it a Swiss-style loose confederation and saying we're not going to meddle on each other's issues would have been much simpler, easier and cleaner. And they'd all be in the EU by now.

You exist because we allow it and you will end because we demand it.Border OCD? Bah, you're weak. If this triggers OCD in you, then this will drive you stark raving mad.
You have been warned - the borders inside the Holy Roman Empire :

ᐅᖃᐅᓯᖅ ᐊᑕᐅᓯᖅ ᓈᒻᒪᔪᐃᑦᑐᖅI was just joking.
Unfortunately, people are irrational. Yugoslavia was under a treaty which would have made it one of the founding members of the EU, if it only managed to hold together until 1993.
Get me my gun.

The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books.Would you accept a payment in some period jewelry without advance in cash?

The sin of silence when they should protest makes cowards of men.I dunno; how period are we talking?
Back on topic; I don't see what is wrong with Croatia joining as long as its financially stable. Being poor isn't such a big deal as the whole point of the EU is to steadily bring everyone up to scratch and create a larger, more equal and more powerful whole. So long as the newcomers don't cause a system crash, Europe should keep going fine.
Its not poor countries that will cause a collapse, its unstable ones.

The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books.Based on what I know of Croatia, it seems that they're doing very well and it's to be expected that in 2013, they'll be ready to join.
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur.Having the croatians join the common market will finally put an end to the terrible vowel shortage that has been plaguing the country.
Point that somewhere else, or I'll reengage the harmonic tachyon modulator. What vowel shortage? The Serbo-Croatian language is fine as it is.
I ♥ the VRSI think he refers to the fact that Croatia is called by Croatians Hrvatska.
INT is knowing a tomato is a fruit. WIS is knowing it doesn't belong in a fruit salad. CHA is convincing people that it does.
In all of former Yugoslavia, membership in the EU is universally presented as something inevitable, with no other option available, and the most important issue there could be is joining the EU as quickly as possible, even though the people themselves are relatively sceptical. I'm not against EU per se, but the governements assume a completely non-critical, ruthless and ridiculously idealistic attitude towards membership in the EU, which tends to alienate me from the idea. I don't like to be presented with ultimatums which don't even need to be fulfilled.
