I agree that "Last Hope" is too overbroad for the trope description. I'd go for something like "Only Possible Trustee".

^ A trustee has to do with fiances. Not this trope.

All the suggested renames are really stilted and awkward-sounding.

Given that some have openly expressed opposition to a rename, I think that we need to use a single proposition rename crowner first, so I made one here.

Given that I'm not a fan of applying broad principles when the specific need is unknown(though I have done so myself in the past), I'm uncertain about a rename. However it seems like the main problem, if it exists in this case, could be solved by making it third person instead of first person: The Only One They Trust.

I personally have never understood the whole "No lines of dialogue as trope titles" thing. We have thousands of tropes, many of which are Tropes Of Legend, which sound like lines of dialogue. Renames would be possible, but the names would become awkward and unnecessary and dull and awkward. There comes a point where you have to expect people to read the article they're adding an example to, and to call them out on it when they don't.

As for the title in question, I vote that it sounds fine the way it is. It might even be Stock Phrase material, since the trope is usually indicated by the character hanging a lampshade on it. But if it must be changed, how about... Cannot Trust Anyone Else?

[up][up] Completely inaccurate. That makes it sound like there's only one trustworthy person left in a corrupt world. That's not this trope at all.

Crown Description:

Vote up names you like, vote down names you don't. Whether or not the title will actually be changed is determined with a different kind of crowner (the Single Proposition crowner). This one just collects and ranks alternative titles.
