At present, two of the writer's series are getting adaptations in the same year, overlapping at one point. I doubt they'll invest too much more in his stories unless he does well here.

It's good in terms of set up but I'm scared this'll turn fighting series very easily...

I've been reading some of the Light Novels. There's certainly a lot of plot being thrown around, but it shares time with the fighting scenes.

Basically... You have entire long plot sequences, then you get long combat sequences, and it alternates. I'd recommend waiting for Snow Black's explanation in episode 3 before making a judgement.

Ahh... The opening reveals the first, well, true reveal of the show. AKA: Silver Crow is Exactly What It Says on the Tin.

Well, considering that it is a fighting game where you have to let your "energy" build (by damaging/being damaged) before using special techniques that deplete said gauge... Unless techniques use proportionally less energy as you level up and don't just become more powerful-but-less-useful (after all, the opponents will have more experience and techniques as well), that is almost certainly not going to happen.

Though player's basic stats will increase. As shown, Pale Rider could do significantly more at level 2 then at level 1.

But good tactics can make up for stat differences and other things.

The fights are good though so I wouldn't worry about that unless you just don't like fighting series at all.

UTW's translator is blogging the series here, if you're interested in stuff like references and translation notes. Just dropping it here.

I liked the first episode. Interesting concept and great visuals. I'm willing to give it three more episodes, but so far I think I'll stick to this show.

The third and fourth episodes, with this pacing, should just about finish setting things up, so that's probably a good point to judge it at anyway.

I decided not to watch the preairs. I just downloaded and watched from UTW. Amazing scenery porn. I cant wait till they start the fights this week.

Seems to me continually inviting new people is the only way to make it sustainable and a lot of people get ahead by taking advantage of newbies.

It seems like it. Online games these days have more team play that level out differences. But I would not call it a pyramid scheme until we see a level 1 facing like a level 6. I've read around. Only 10 levels
