Correct me if I'm wrong but it's sad the only time WB remembered they had a 100th anniversary was through a TTG episode.
They put out some DVD/Blu-ray rereleases and some merchandise for the 100th as well.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonHopefully when the 100th anniversary of the Looney Tunes rolls around, (the year 2030) they do some kind of anniversary short, along the lines of Disney's Once Upon a Studio.
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationAnother Teen Titans Go crossover, we all know it.
Wonder if they'll even acknowledge Bosko's existence for the Looney Tunes 100th anniversary? He was the one who started it all.
Bosko actually predate the Looney Tunes by a year; his first cartoon ("Bosko the Talk-ink Kid") was in 1929, and the first Looney Tune ("Sinkin' in the Bathtub") was in 1930.
WB sorta seems like they would prefer to forget about Bosko if you ask me, and I'm not just saying that. I actually went on the studio tour of WB a couple years back and when the topic went to Looney Tunes, the tour guide asked our group who the first Looney Tunes character was.
Without any ill intention, I named Bosko, and the tour guide, after looking like they had just died inside, said that, officially, they regard Porky as the first Looney Tunes character, although yes, Bosko did predate Porky. I felt kind of embarrassed afterward.
Yeeeeeeeah, that didn't dawn on me until after I had name-dropped him, hence why I proceeded to mentally kick myself for saying that afterward. I didn't make a peep for the rest of that section of the tour.

"Hey, gimme a minute to get to know everyone, 'kay, Brainy?" "Of course, but please allow me to get a word in, too, bzz."Well no shit they'd rather forget their first major character was a Blackface character.
Disgusted, but not surprisedIf they're really wanting to forget about Bosko and pretend he doesn't exist, why did they release his shorts on DVD and on HBO Max?
You wanna know what's funny? Coyote vs. Acme doesn't just star Wile E. Coyote, it more or less is Wile E. Coyote himself. Observe.
- Wile E. sets up a trap to catch the Road Runner = the film is announced, produced and completed
- The trap backfires on Wile E. = Warner Bros. scraps the film after it is finished
- Wile E. shrugs that failure off and moves on to another plan = the film is brought back to be shopped around to other buyers
- The next plan fails as well, causing more pain for Wile E. = the film is once again scrapped after Warner Bros. rejected offers that couldn't match their price
- Wile E. recovers from that failure and continues to try and capture the Road Runner = Samy Burch confirms that conversations are ongoing and that it's still being shopped despite the earlier reports
Even if Warner Bros. potentially and seemingly gets rid of Coyote vs. Acme for goodnote , that probably wouldn't matter anyway as a copy will most likely be leaked online. Say what you will about 4chan, but given God knows how many stuff they inexplicably leaked onlinenote , they may as well be our last speck of hope.

I do know in Tiny Toon Adventures they tried to reinvent Bosko as their version of Goofy. It didn't really stick though.
Does make me wonder if they'd still use him if that shift stuck, or they'd still be attempting to Unperson him now despite it.
My dA: https://www.deviantart.com/toko90sSo you're saying the smart thing to do would be for WBD to give up and shelve it for good, much like Coyote giving up on the Roadrunner would be the smart thing to do?

Disgusted, but not surprisedNo, not exactly.
For now, let's keep fighting until the film eventually does see a release. If another distributor picks it up and releases it, that's fine, but if it's leaked online, I'll take that as well.
EDIT: Removed the "rinse and repeat" part.

Let's not suggest piracy is the way to go. We have forum rules against that.
Disgusted, but not surprisedOf course I know it's not a good idea to link to pirated material on here, let alone encourage it.

Nah, they weren't going for Goofy. They just redesigned Bosko and Honey into animal people to make them less like Blackface characters.

Disgusted, but not surprisedShould Tweety and Lola Bunny be co-mascots of Warner Bros. to empower females?
Tweety isn't a female.
Tweety is a guy, so him being a feminist mascot wouldn't make much logical sense.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.Tweety is non-binary now as of Tiny Toons Looniversity. Executives only think he is a girl because of his eyelashes.
WB wanted to make a Tweety spin-off, a live action hybrid show called "Tweety Mysteries" which was set to be the first Looney Tunes show marketed to the girls before it got shelved.
Bugs Bunny Builders is Lola and Tweety's show. They will do anything to demote men especially Bugs. They want to erase the patriarchy into the cold and dark void.
Space Jam: A New Legacy already did that by making Lola the most important character in the movie voiced by the greatest actress of all time, Zendaya.

They didn't. They were never on HBO Max.
Jerry Beck said about 1/4 of Looney Tunes would never show up there and I think you can assume all the Bosko shorts are among them. (You can also assume all the Buddy shorts, too, because nobody wanted them anyway.)

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."That is because HBO Max is more sensitive with what they want to show to kids. You will not see anything considered problematic or politically incorrect. "Bugsy and Mugsy" and "Baton Bunny" were shown briefly until they were pulled because of bits that are deemed not right for today's times.
On the other hand, Me TV has aired about 800 of those 1,000 shorts and they have no problem because their demographic and general reach is very wide.
