Billions ? Link please? I don't remember a cars toy being one of the hottest toys wait a sec now I remember all those dang commercials. Dang it. Still give me a link. I mean really, billions?
Yeah, it's kind of inarguable that the Cars franchise is netting Disney a lot of dough, like it or not.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Money.
THIS. Is why Disney made a sequel.
THIS. Is why they wanted it only a year after the last one.
THIS. Is why they wanted it in theaters first, no argument.
THIS. Is why despite Planes: Fire and Rescue only making $18 million domestically on its first week in theaters, Disney will still make more Planes, Cars, whatever else, in the future, and it will be done by the same studios, and will still be in theaters. In this case, the merch sells so well, the box office performances do not matter.

Why don't they have Disneytoon studios make the rest of the cars films? Why Pixar? Because of its name recognition ?
I suppose that would be best. It would certainly allow Pixar to focus on better titles.

This is why I want to see Disneytoons do more films as a third studio for Disney. They can make stories that were shelved.
OOO Oh. I didn't know the second Planes had bombed
It bombed? That's plane crazy!

Don't take it personally, I thought it'd be clever to have the words "cricket noises" be a link to Chirping Crickets, after you made what some people would deem to be an Incredibly Lame Pun.
Maybe I should've thrown a link to Joking Mode?
Actually, "plane crazy" isn't so bad of a pun…
Regardless, if your feelings got hurt, I apologize.
