Well the twin's parents appear in a short story, Edelyn's are happily married (or the satyr equivelent) embarassingly so. Grandma and Granddad are pretty content with their marriage, Granddad's kinda keeps Grandma's eccentricies in reign.

Life's Gonna Suck When You Grow Up... But Is It That Great Now?... Also I'm Skylark2 now.Okay I've just realized I don't have a plot, so I'm going to have to scrap everything and start over, the magic system, the setting, pretty much nothing except the characters can stay. I need to build the world around the plot and not the other way around.
Life's Gonna Suck When You Grow Up... But Is It That Great Now?... Also I'm Skylark2 now.You can probably re-work a lot of the content and characters. That's what I'm doing to a lot of my stuff. Just start out slow and build around a simple plot: who's who, and what is their conflict? What do they each want to accomplish? In the case of antagonists, why do their goals go against the protagonist? And so on and so forth. You've got a great eye for writing, all you need to do is slow down a little and let the stories develop. :)
I've returned from the depths to continue politely irritating the good people of TV Tropes.(◕‿◕✿)Just so people know, this thread's informally closed.

I'm not sure if this will help but could you tell us more about you're characters? So far we have Cyril and Mel, the grand mother, and you've mentioned the grand father. presumably the parents will be major characters but what about others?
I'm starting to agree with the others, the time for advice is ending the only question seems to be writing.
