Post your lucid dreaming experiences here!

I figured it'd be a good idea, since it seems that a lot of tropers are interested in lucid dreaming. You can share advice, techniques, and interesting things to try.

Tell me something cool to make myself do!

And I wonder; do our dreams have "glitches" or "easter eggs" like in video games?

@Cute: Probably, every dream and every dreamer is unique. But there are some things that (mostly)everyone has. Text, mirrors, and hands act weirdly in dreams. For example, you could look in a mirror and see someone completely different, or see a different "version" of yourself.

Do you lucid dream?

Well, the first step is writing down your dreams or recording them once you wake up. It makes your brain start to realize that they're important, and you'll start to remember them more clearly and for longer spans of time. If you keep doing that, eventually you'll start having more and more vivid dreams a lot more frequently.

Oh, I thought this was going to be one of those "here's such and such area to imagine, let's meet each other in Kadath" things.

I don't like those, lol.

[up]It's this thing where a bunch of lucid dreamers decide on a specific location, then go there in their dream and see what they find. It's a bunch of hooey.

About a third of my dreams are lucid.

They all take place in the same, vaguely defined dreamworld, but, being what it is, it changes a lot.

So, a question for other Lucid Dreamers,

What is the first thing you did in a Lucid Dream(that bends the laws of reality, not just looking around)

Hell if I know, man. I was (as far as I know) born being able to lucid dream (I suppose that technically, as soon as I would have been capable of that kind of thought, but you know what I mean). I don't remember the first time I did it, nor what I did.

Oh, that's pretty cool. I had to work for a year before I had my first. [lol]

Wizard to your sorceror(DND joke FTW).

But the first thing I did was take off and fly. It feels so amazing, wind in my face. The ground dropping away, gravity losing it's hold. It makes you feel free.

I've had a few dreams where I'm aware that I'm dreaming, but only one I can recall where I gained full control.

I decided to be female so I wouldn't get in trouble for being in the women's restroom, then I realized that in real life I can't change sex at will (sadly) and I was like "Wait, this is a dream! My dream! I can do anything!"

I then proceeded to run around the school in my underwear, screaming, "You can't catch me, this is MY dream!" Did I waste the rest of the dream? Yes. But it was fun.

Yeah, flying is about the first thing most people do when lucid dreaming. It's also one of the easiest, since it's something most people have an easy time of accepting in dreams. Actually, anything is easy to do in a lucid dream, once you start.

[up]Even better, walk through the walls of classrooms full of people with nothing on. Tis funny to see the dream characters' reactions.

[up]Why limit yourself to another person's vision? You can make a world exactly how you want it, do anything. But yeah, going into a movie or animated series is fun to do. I beat up Ash in pokemon. It was incredibly satisfying.

Telekinesis is a fun thing in dreams. So is jumping into another person's thought bubble.

Trippy shit, man.

Also, as far as flying goes, I can, but I'm more of a jump good type of guy.

@central: It's so easy to learn! All you need is five or ten minutes a day! It's totally worth it, every lucid dream you EVER have feels so amazing.

Lucid Dreaming is also fun because you be a wizard.

Or a sorcerer, whichever suits you best.
