The mini NES looks too small to use the NES cartidges.

The Paper Mario announcement is news to me. But I'd also like to see some different rereleases/virtual console releases that aren't Zelda-based.

More than one person I know is getting those as gifts this Christmas.

Honestly, with Hyperkin making a killing on stuff like the Retron, I'm surprised Console makers haven't tried to cash in more directly on the Emulator Nostalgia craze quicker.

Meh, Sega did one of those ages ago. And theirs not only has pre-installed games, but also plays the original cartridges and works with the original controllers too. Oh, and it comes with two controllers.

Then they also made a portable Megagenesisdrive that plays them old cartridges as well.

Yeah, the ability to play old cartridges is pretty niche of a market, but personally I would find it incredibly neat. And it'd be great for people whose old systems from back in the day aren't in top shape anymore.

Except far and away the primary market for things like this are people who don't have their stuff from when they were kids anymore, followed by those who never had them in the first place.

While an NES machine is cool I'd honestly prefer a SNES. Oh well, maybe next year.

I'd totally be getting this if I didn't have a few other games coming out around the same time that I want to get more.

It's bitching if I say I'd like an SNES version of this thing? I'm not criticizing Nintendo for doing this first. It's the logical choice. I just don't care about the NES as much.

An SNES version of this would probably be more desirable to me, because that system has a ton of good games that have aged much better than NES ones. Might get it anyway because it looks cool.

Hopefully this is successful enough that Nintendo decides to follow up with an SNES one.

The NES is going to outsell the Wii U this holiday. Interesting how things have turned out.

Sad that Contra, Castlevania 3, Ninja Gaiden 2, and Mega Man 3 aren't part of the lineup.

Although Mario 3, Mega Man 2, Castlevania 1, and Ninja Gaiden 1 do seal this, with Zelda and Metroid as bonuses.

And a SNES mini would be fucking awesome!!!

I'll definitely be getting this Mini NES.

The only overlap I have with my VC Library is Zelda 2, but let me just overlook that...

I already have most of the ones I want but I like the idea that it's a separate unit. The special controller is also a nice touch.
