All you need is Peach wearing the Lazy Shell armor and you've basically guaranted victory. Even against Culex.

I never used it. I hated the big drop in attack power.

Would another potential example of Mario's dickery come in the form of him refusing to fork over the star, knowingly forcing Yaridovich to keep torturing (read: tickling) the village elder of Seaside Town? I know that if you keep it up, the Elder will give you a crappier reward for helping them out.

The first time? I'd say no since Mario could assume it was a bluff. More than that, Mario is a dick.

Oh yeah. Forgot you could do that too.

Yeah, at one point, I did it multiple times. It's funny.

The elder sounds pretty ticked off if you keep letting them do that, in addition to the lesser reward.

Oh, you can also rob a guy's home, and then either admit to it or not.

It's not stealing if you're an RPG protagonist. Yes, I'm still salty over that old sack of bones and his bunch of pixels that were apparently supposed to be food in Chrono Trigger.

In sudden and surprising news, Nintendo is now announcing big games outside Directs. In this case, Pikmin 4.

I'm guessing it's going to be an NX title? I can't imagine why they wouldn't have announced this at E3 if it were for Wii U.

You never know. The NX probably isn't going to come out until 2017. This game could be slated for 2016. Pikmin 3 was in 2013 and the gap between the first two was also three years.

Straight outta nowhere! Never was expecting a 4th Pikmin game and for it to be "very close to completion". Maybe we'll hear more about it in the next direct.

The credits for the third game had a sequel hook but I'm kind of surprised they're following up on it so quickly.

It's probably a Wii U game if they're already talking about it. They already have the assets, so it's likely a Galaxy 2 situation where they have enough new ideas for a new game along with completed assets and a need for some filler in 2016.

It's weird that we're getting two Pikmins, a Star Fox game, a Xeno Blade, and a Fire Emblem crossover with Shin Megami Tensei before we get a main series Zelda game.

Not particularly. Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword were both at the very end of the system they were developed for. TP was only on Wii because it was so close to the end of the Gamecube that it could also be a launch title for the new system.

Wasn't OOT also fairly late in the 64's lifespan?

I mean it's weird that we're getting this many B-tier franchises on Wii U while one of the big 3 for Nintendo has not gotten a single main series release.

We got Wind Waker before we got Twilight Princess.

No, that was Majora's Mask. Ocarina came out in 1998. Majora's Mask came out in 2000. I think it was the last game before the N64's acknowledged last big game (the original Paper Mario, which came out in North America in early 2001).

We got FSA, too. I'm just pointing out that main-series Zelda games have been on the "pretty much last big game" list for the consoles for a few generations now. And they're taking longer to make.

I was wrong about the year the 64 released. For some reason I thought it was 94 but it was actually 96.
