Still waiting for Ice Climber: Ascension by Sakurai. A 3D exploration platformer in the vein of Super Mario 64, now with extra co-op and hammer action.

Ice Climbers needs that kind of revamp even more than Kid Icarus. You can do little to build on the core mechanics of the original, there really is not much to it.

I'd actually like a new Metroid game in the vein of Kid Icarus Uprising. Samus on a single planet, taking various contracts for a "chapter" like system, reaching new areas in Gunboat flight sections, then going off into Metroid Prime gameplay.

Speaking of reviving old Nintendo I Ps and characters, is it weird that I sort of want Nintendo to revive Stanley the Bugman? Have him fight some sort of insect army, give him some Mario-esque platforming, and give him a bug spray gun that allows him to do things like fire shots of gas and hover, and I think you could have a pretty decent series!

@Watashiwa: Sounds like an interesting premise, but ultimately Metroid is about exploring a semi-open labyrinth of powerups that open up new paths, and doors locked unless you shoot at them (Someone really must make a name for that). While there have been games that were more linear than others, having a chapter-by-chapter structure might turn some dudes off, considering how many panties the game-that-must-not-be-named twisted.

People generally quite like Fusion and one of the main, or at least most common, complaints against it was that it was too linear until the end.

It amuses me how amiibos have become even more serious business than Cabbage Patch Kids dolls were in the '80s.

It's the (so far) limited stock of them that's driving up the issue.

Anyhow, how did a shipment of games get stolen? Did someone just steal a truck full of them or something? And why?

They probably could had targeted something more valuable, but nope; video games and plastic figures!

@Odd: How about Pokemon cards? I had mine stolen at school once.

@Kuro: This is nothing new. Remember when the PS 3. Xbox 360, and the Wii first came out? People were robbing and stabbing each other just to get those things and then put them up on ebay with a massive markup. If something's rare, people will do anything to get them and sell it back for mad profits.

I thought the worst that happened was scalpers and inflated ebay prices.

You didn't hear about the store break-ins, the threats and the muggings a few weeks back when some more amiibos came in?

Money and/or greed; people either wanted the things to sell for mad cash or they reallllllly wanted the thing for themselves.
