I'm seriously considering picking up Steamworld Dig while it's on sale even though I already have the 3DS version and have played it twice. I just love that game that much.
I didn't realize until recently that the paid DLC for Mario Kart 8 isn't actually out yet and what's on the eShop right now is just a preorder. Do you lose your chance at those different colored Yoshis and Shy Guys if you don't preorder or something?
Also, is that free Mercedes-Benz DLC worthwhile? Honestly, I was going to hold off on it even though it's free because having licensed cars in a Mario Kart game just feels offputting to me, but if someone can give me a good reason to download them I might change my mind.
Define "worthwhile". They're shiny, so I like them. :P
You get the palette swaps regardless of whether you get the DLC packs separately or as a season pass. Pre-purchasing is irrelevant.
Pre-purchasing them together costs less than buying them individually, though, so there's that. Bulk discount and all.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!"Worthwhile" in terms of gameplay benefits for the Mercedes pack I guess. I had read that the DLC comes with an option to put the track map on the TV screen, which alone might be worth it even if I never use the karts.
And for the paid DLC, I was more wondering if there was any benefit to preordering them as opposed to waiting until they're actually released, like if they're going up in price or you lose out on the Yoshi and Shy Guy palette swaps.
The mercedes benz DLC doesn't "add" anything to the game but more karts and a new set of tires, but I do like having more choices in my selection of kart parts!
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.I got the Mercedes DLC, but nobody in my house actually uses them. I'm more interested in new tracks more than anything else.

I like making my Yoshi drive a Mercedes. It makes him look Adorkably classy.
It helped give me ideas to develop his character too. I mean, if he likes to drive and owns a fancy car like that, surely he'd have to have a job outside the island to pay for it.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerWell... I suppose I've got nothing to lose by downloading it except the memory storage space, which I'm in no danger of running out of yet.
Hey, anyone have an opinion on those downloadable NES Remix games, like which one is better to download first if I'm only going with one for now? From what I can tell from reading about them, it seems as though the first one has more different games and challenges, but the sequel goes for quality over quantity. I'd almost consider waiting for that compilation disc with both games coming out in December, but it looks like the base price for that disc is the same as just downloading both games from the eShop right now.
Bought my first Virtual Console Games. Got Super Mario World and The Legend Of Zelda Link To The Past.

Don't know where else to put this in:
You guys think we'll ever get the full story about how Nintendo got the Robot Chicken team to do Nintendo's E3 2014 Digital Event?
Probably not.
Of course, it's probably not super interesting. It'd likely be little more than "asked, and paid them".
I just hope they do it again next year. Those were funny.
How do I sync up a pro controller with my system?
It's a used one, and even though the light for the player number flickers blue, it doesn't want to sync with the wii u for some reason or another.

Watch SymphogearThe same way you sync a GamePad or Wiimote, I do believe.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I tried looking in the settings and there's no option to sync a pro controller, if that's how it's done.
Watch SymphogearThere's a button on the back of the controller.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! You have to press and hold the button on the controller while pressing the sync button on the Wii U.

This is refreshing news so soon after getting a Wii U.
I'm going almost exclusively virtual this time around, and so far I don't see a reason to stop.
And the non-charging Wii U remote stand is handy if you want to play Wii games on it while the TV is occupied. The controller's got its own sensor bar and everything.
