Edison stole the lightbulb... off a British guy (Joe Swann)! It was amazing he didn't steal the steam engine off us as well... however, James Watt was also a duckhead too, so ehhh...
Lots of pioneers are. It's the nature of the territory. Successful entrepreneurs are risk-takers who aren't as held back by moral qualms.

A brighter future for a darker age.Tesla was a cool guy and he actually has a sort of sect-only-saner following in my college. One of our teacher's crazy experiments with diamagnetism and the fact that he was part of the team for my country's first space sattelite project might have had something to do with it.
Still, Tesla was pretty cool by himself. In the media has it better, like that part where the guy pretty much radiowaved a destruction package across the globe to destroy a shielded, bunkered piece of alien-like technology, all while muttering "Rot in hell, [Thomas Alva] Edison". That kind of feat can hardly be surpassed by a single man. Who knows... maybe it was truth...

Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?
Say what you will about the man - it was pretty traumatizing having been raised in a society that practically worshipped Edison as the father of modern electrical systems,, to then go through a major Red Alert phase and discover that Edison corrupted all that science was about because he was jealous. And then to realize he succeeded. Bastard.
Team Tesla, yo.
