Actually they were very upfront about pay, nothing was forked out to get the product to demonstrate, and when I resigned I got it for myself, which gave me among the best cutlery out there. Finally there wasn't really isolation at all,it was actually encouraged to work with other reps and take notes. I can't speak for traveling expenses since I used a bicycle and walking.
The problems lie more in the HQ and the online system, and the fact that they keep telling you who to target.
But seriously better off having the luck to be the customer than the salesman, since the deals on the product, the quality of the product, and the amazing warranty. I've seen people with these knives 20 years old and they haven't had a problem at all, still practically new.
Basically if you need it,go for it,it's better than most other jobs that "take anyone with or without experience" and it's a very good exercise in schedule-making and networking. But it had better be a last resort, and once something comes up to the point that you can't do anymore,....DO NOT head back.
Take the fact that you are now much improved with pitching stuff and talking to people and take it elsewhere.
EDIT: Okay whoever brought this two year old thread back,I assume they were in the same position as the OP,what's the verdict?

Does anyone else find it odd that someone came here to make a single post that required reviving a long dead thread that no one cared about? Maybe I'm just paranoid from being on bigger forums but these one post revivals seem to happen with stuff corporate related.
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote?Actually lots of things here get necro'd,corporate related or not (just go to a random Forum Game or Yack Fest thread with an odd title, odds are it will have been necro'd at least once from a long sleep)
Necros happen. I've done a couple on accident by hitting the thread via search engine, for instance.
I'm somewhat more concerned with how the necro post is basically an ad for Vector's product, and appears to be the author's only post on the entire site. And that Vector is notorious for sockpuppeting.

AstroTurf....
David Bowie 1947-2016Only post, maybe, but the account has a short wiki editing history. Let's not throw around unsupported accusations of astroturfing. That said, I'm concerned that this thread may be inviting such things.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Wanna lock it?
We're going to shut down threads over the possibility that someone might start astroturfing?
I love the way the Tvtropes moderators have a low tolerance for ass-hattery, but this might just be overreacting a bit.
Did I say I was locking it? I'm just concerned, that's all.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I was talking to to one suggesting it.
Now, as for the topic itself: if it smells, it's probably rotten.
Fair enough. Backing off.
Had no idea, i do apologize.

Short version:
It's possible to succeed at it, but the vast majority of people who try it won't.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.
