I think it works. Kinda.
Fix the top link though.
Please.Eh. Not a fan, would like some suggestions though.
Fight smart, not fair.Nope, I agree that it doesn't work at all. It's clearly a traffic barricade, of exactly the type that is in nearly universal use in most cities.
Surely we can find a better example, with all of the film, animation and TV examples to choose from. I'm partial to the classic "door opens the other way" version, myself... I'm looking for the one from Buffy.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.What? That pic confuses me. I see a man running and a half open door. Also lq.
Please. You don't see the cabinet right in front of the door?
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Not till now no. Anyways... Can you get one without a janitor in front of it?
Please. It's not the janitor. It's the guy who just tried to barricade the door.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Can you get it without him then?
Im trying to find pics off the Mexican border fence (the cool looking concrete parts) with just huge missing gaps, but no luck.
Please.I know which episode that's from (Buffy The Vampire Slayer S 2 E 16). I can pull it from Netflix. Here we go:

Rhymes with "Protracted."I might be the only one against it. Now it looks like a restaurant entrance to me but eh. I was going to suggest an image of a businessman jumping a turnstile, but thats not this trope. Now Im trying to find a pic of Shaggy boarding up a door with the monster giving him parts, but I can't find it. :/ I am weak in the way of google fu.
Please.I agree that the current image isn't a very good one. I like the second Buffy image best of the two.
Visit my contributor page to assist with the "I Like The Cheeses" project! That one's good.
More votes for Troacctid's image.
Current rather meh. Another vote for more votes for Troacctid's image. And Maddy's notion.
- 1 for Troacctid's pic.
Do we want to keep looking, or just put it up?
Rhymes with "Protracted."Troacctid's is an excellent image.
I was thinking about the MST 3 K movie "Danger: Death Ray!" There's a scene where the police try to prevent the bad guys from escaping by blocking the street with their cars, except they conveniently leave a large, car-sized hole in the middle of the barricade. Mike and the bots comment on it, naturally.

I don't really like it. It doesn't look like anyone's trying to stop her from entering.
The Buffy idea is very good, but I think it would be better to use two panels to make the pic unquestionably comprehensible: i.e. coupling the pic where Buffy opens the door proposed by Troacctid, with one where Alex sets up the barricade.

"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeThere's a fairly good one in the Batman '66 False Face episode (look at about 1:35 on this YouTube video). Looks like the cops should be able to just climb over or around the thing without much difficulty. Though on second viewing, it looks like it only does slow them down a little bit, after all - the GCPD does get out in time to give chase.

Jet-a-Reeno!Or we could link to an animated .gif of the scene on the Image Links page (Indy Hat Roll does it with a link in the caption, although I like it better on the subpage, since that's what it's there for after all). Animated .gifs are pretty easy to make◊

Rhymes with "Protracted."That'll work.
That works really well.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.
In the context of a city, the barricade shown in the picture is perfectly useful. There's no indication of why it's not sufficient, nor evidene of anyone passing it.
