Hello again. smile

Hmmm...I'm not sure that reflexes of that kind are that simple or have been that well studied. The first seems like a shock-reflex in response to auditory stimuli, and the second would have to be more "conscious" as she would have to learn that pushing the buzzer is the correct response to whatever your stimulus was. So in that case responding to "BOO!" is more "unconscious", possibly. Although I'm not sure if that's necessarily a helpful question.

We don't learn about Freud - he did some experiments with cocaine and dopamine receptors, right?

You should look up Ramon y Cajal if you're interested - he's the father of modern Neuroscience and a total Badass.

Now I've got this image of Robin's secret childhood love affair with Mr. T. - Idler 20

I dunno, how would I know? tongue

Okay, let's summarize her ability and effects:

  • She can sense other people's ill intention. As far as I know, while all emotion is related with the same part of brain (darn, what was the word?), they all influences different kinds of hormones. All people have a lump of highly condensed Eisen Steiner Particle in their body and it fluntuates depending on people's physiology and mood. The ESP emits aura (normally it is hard to be perceived, even with technology specifically designed for it) varied by mood, and she can sense negative ones, because it feels more "acrid." Also, since the ESP is a tangible particle, it can be left as residue on surfaces and even air, she can track down a person for over miles if she needs.

  • Above is resulted from her having a second vessel of soul, while all people have only one. It's an artificial and deliberately incomplete that in desire to fill itself with content, it draws every emotion people feel inside it, good or bad. So she's an empath as well. Good part about this is that it gives her EVER MORE efficient metabolism and reflex when she's "charged up" and basically can find and track down any kind of living being within almost a mile. Bad part is that the energy from absorbing emotion is charged into aggressive energy, which fuels her murderous urge, making her really mentally unstable. To prevent that, she regularly takes special medicine to the part related to emotion so she wouldn't harm any non-mission related people or pass out when overwhelmed by so much emotion around her.

  • She can learn any kind of skill, ESPECIALLY one designed to inflict mortal harm to living beings. It usually involves observation of people doing it, few practices of her own and voila! She can learn any kind of skill that primarily involves cerebellum almost ten times as fast as normal people can. She also has a signficantly more efficient metabolism and cardiovascular function and more durable neurons. However, the last is not enough so she still ends up getting seizures, and (I’m yet to understand how seizures really work…) -what was it, didn’t you tell me about that kind of seizure where that involves suddenly blacking out for brief moment?-she skips school once in a while. Come to think of it, I think that blinking out seizure might be pretty interesting, especially during fight scenes. I think that might give her a significant disadvantage that might balance her absurd reflex and fighting skill.

You know, even though with all the disadvantages, what she got is basically a Superpower Lottery. Does anyone else think so?
