Well, that's one way to know Westboro is drawing all the wrong kinds of attention.

Even Evil Has Standards, Up To Eleven? This ought to be interesting...

"People like them say it's white power ... white supremacy," Phelps said. "The Bible doesn't say anywhere that it's an abomination to be born of a certain gender or race."

Than what are you doing there, Mr. Phelps?

So, which one of them has the standards again?

Neither. They are both filled with hatred and a longing to be noticed.

Were there any standards to begin with?

In war, courage. In peace, wisdom. In life, friendship.

The KKK hates people regardless of sexual preference so long as they're the wrong color.

The WBC hates people regardless of skin color so long as they're not them.

At least the KKK is a bit less insular and slightly less omnicidal.

Note that word "abomination". Phelps was referencing the passage in the Bible where it does say that homosexuality is an abomination. That was a pointed statement.

About 10 members of a group that claims to be a branch of the Ku Klux Klan from Virginia called the Knights of the Southern Cross.

Call me again when we actually start talking about larger numbers. Meanwhile, I'm just going to say... this isn't unlike Republican and Democrats.

The thing about making witty signature lines is that it first needs to actually be witty.

Say, has anyone looked at the top quote for Even Evil Has Standards?

"The Ku Klux Klan, LLC. has not or EVER will have ANY connection with The "Westboro Baptist Church". We absolutely repudiate their tactics."

So, the KKK is the one with the standards then?

But, wah?

Honestly, Crazy lunatics yelling at each other tend to kind of look the same to me.

The KKK hates almost everyone while the Westboro Baptist Church actually hates everything. That makes them slightly less repulsive. Just slightly.

I've got to say, the year thus far has been bizarre. I've stop trying to understand. The KKK is defending Barack Obama. What is this, I don't even.

I don't know that they particularly defended Barack Obama, but they have tried to politically correct themselves over the years. Mostly aiming for the ideology of racial separatism on face representation.

Because apparently their goal is to get more members in these times, while Westboro is happy making enemies of everybody.

If the KKK wasn't responsible for terrorizing the black community for decades, I might have been convinced to root for them.

They were also the cause of many hateful actions against gays. Funny how things change.

@Usht What's changed? The KKK is still responsible for terrorist acts against blacks; the fact they terrorized the LGBT community—some of which were also apart of the black community as well—is just another reason for me to find them deplorable.

Well now they apparently embrace their fellow LGBT brethren, though it feels like a terrible saving throw to save face... something they didn't really have in the first place.

What's changed is that they're apparently siding with the patriots against the homophobes.

They're still deplorable, it's just amusingly ironic.

Are they still doing that though?

I was under the impression they were pretty truncated.

I'd go on the official KKK site myself and check their actual status on these sorts of things but I wouldn't care to get that on my internet history. Of course the same goes for the WBC.

Well, I checked out their kkk.bz site, and looked under Activism and News Updates, but I didn't see anything.
