Yeah, that was basically just a more purple version of the original translation, wasn't it.
Also that Kojima gif◊ in the IGN article. "No I'm not secretly an android lizard terminator thing from the future what do you mean look I can smile and everything".
Near as I can tell, the idea seems to be more or less that Konami thinks they can make the next Puzzle & Dragons and just spit a console or handheld game a year to make them still seem legit instead of like freemium sellouts.
I sure said that!Revolver Ocelot is spreading into other games' redundancy memes now.◊
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Oi, c'mon now. Ocelot was a chronic backstabber but he would never kill himself. Even if there were two of him, he'd still want to die by Big Boss' hand, or failing that, one of sons.
I sure said that!Trust no one, not even yourself.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! In that scenario, Ocelot would already have a plan to backstab himself twice over and still live.
I guess I just meant, hey, a collage of every possible scenario involving Ocelot backstabing someone would've been funnier to me.
I guess I'm just weird.
I sure said that!I'm listening to Chico's audio messages, and considering what happens in Ground Zeroes, it's getting more and more depressing.
Someone should do that Hunger Games simulator, but with all tributes being Ocelot.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Oh my Kojima, this is perfect.
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyIn regards to Ocelot's Chronic Backstabbing Disorder, think he may have gotten it from his grandfather?
I find it amusing that the Revolver Ocelot in a stranglehold died via strangulation.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Don't worry, I'm sure they'll use it for pachinko machines and maybe a terrible freemium game on mobile, because that's the future and not at all something that will inevitably implode once consumer confidence in the style dies.
I sure said that!I actually do like the MSGV app. Because it's completely free, everything can be earned and beat with ease given enough patience.
See, if Konami hadn't said "mobile is the future of gaming!", I'd be more inclined to think they're going to avoid consumer abuse. As it stands, pretty much every mobile-focused dev pushes games that put a price on everything and amount to paying-to-win.
I sure said that!I just got to the end of Peace Walker - the real end with Paz and ZEKE. Final thoughts?
Peace Walker is a damn fine game. the amount of content, the graphics that it managed to crank out of the PSP, the music tracks - this is probably the biggest Metal Gear game released to date, and it came out on a 7 year old piece of hardware (as in, 7 years old in 2011).
Honestly, the tension and emotion in some parts surpass MGS 3. The Peace Walker chase is a great example, with Snake riding The Boss' horse after a huge, lumbering mechanical nuke and eventually overworking The Boss' horse to the point of killing it, which he fails to notice because he's scrambling up the slope that was too much for the horse trying to chase Peace Walker. the ending ( the first one anyway) is also really great - yeah, butterflies burst out of the Mammal Pod and it sings a song about peace, real frigging cheesy, but I ate it up.
And as a quick side-note: Miller's anguished "Oh God!" when Peace Walker has 10 seconds until nuclear launch - that damn line shot a hole through me. Amazing work.
Snake's voice is incredibly rough in this game, but there are some great moments where David Hayter goes above and beyond to give the guy's voice a real sense of anguish and urgency. Richard Atkins Downes was alright, a bit stiff in some of his delivery but he was a fine Kaz. Tara Strong did really well - she's a good voice actress, as well as very prolific, but there were moments where I couldn't tell it was her voice - she usually has this... tell that gives her voice-acting roles away, which she managed to mask in some vital moments, which was pretty great. Steve Blum sounded a bit like Spike Spiegal sometimes which was cool, and did a great job with Zadornov.
I will say one thing - the game turns into a massive grind-fest. Once you beat chapter 4, the previously reserved-for-boss-battles vehicles start appearing 2-3 times per Extra Ops cluster in chapter 5, and compared to the bosses and the occasional side-boss to keep things interesting in chapters 1-4 it gets to be a bit overwhelming. I haven't hit the Monster Hunter levels yet, I'm giving this game a long-deserved break, but it definitely slowed down in a bad way with Chapter 5. Not too bad for a bonus chapter, but definitely layered on the filler too thick.
I've played around 47 hours of Peace Walker. I think it's one of the best games on the PSP, despite its camera issues and weird-ass control schemes. I'm glad to have played it in the end - I'm glad to finally be dropping it for a while because I've had 2 other PSP games on the backburner, but I don't regret playing it. Is it the best Metal Gear? Depends on personal opinion, but it's definitely up there.

Pretty much!
And like I said. Just watching the ending to Peace Walker brought me to a mess of tears.

The trouble is, which version is better?
HD has dual analog, but PSP has ZEKE's Vocaloid open for modification.
I sure said that!...I could never figure out how to get the Vocaloid stuff to work.
And they only got smarter the further they deteriorated.
And they took away Otacon's transformer toys.
