What ever you do, watch out for the Real Grade Zeta. That ?%@$ thing us a pain in the asshole to transform.
Fate Grand Order players will know me as Ryusei-Go.Okay, I would like to ask for some advice on basic modeling. Lately I've been removing the pieces from the runners with a side cutters and then removing the excess with a razor blade. Is there a better way to remove the excess?
Fate Grand Order players will know me as Ryusei-Go.I use a plastic cutter and x-acto knife, but those basically the same thing you use anyway.
I also smooth out the cut with some files and sanding paper
What kind of file exactly? I looked at nail files a while back for that exact reason but I got confused by all the different kinds.
Does anyone here have any experience with using Gundam Markers?
Fate Grand Order players will know me as Ryusei-Go.I just bought a cheap modeling file set for about $6 from Amazon.
I do have a set of Gundam Marker, mostly use the black one though.
II ask because I recently bought a set of brush tipped Gundam markers that came with a paneling marker (but no black for some reason). I tried using them to touch up a few my 1/100 IBO kits as a test before I use them on my first Master Grade, (a Crossbone X-3 if your curious), I taped the parts up with painters tape but there was bleed through. Any suggestuions?
Fate Grand Order players will know me as Ryusei-Go.I just go carefully with the small end of the marker (That have a big cap for some reason). On any wrong mark/spill, I wipe it quickly with tissue paper.
You could try the other way of panel lining. Thin out black acrylic paint and let it flow into the line.
Small end? Wait, do you mean that your markers are double ended?
Well part of my problem is that I didn't know about the bleed through until after the paint had dried. I was thinking about buying one of those paint erasing gundam markers, but I was wondering if there were any alternatives.
Fate Grand Order players will know me as Ryusei-Go.All my G Marker are double-ended
You could try to paint over it if you have the right color.
As for removing paint, I dont know what type of paint the Gundam marker.
@megamen and unlikely: Bandai also sells fine point markers specifically for panel lining, if you don't want to worry about too much excess ink. Those fine point markers also have minor run through, but it's easily removed with a regular rubber eraser so long as it's still freshly-applied.
Peace. Pace. Sanity. Check out my DeviantArt! ^_^Actually I'm talking about normal painting, not paneling. See the 1/100 IBO series have larger pieces that are monochrome and get stickers on part of the piece where on a Master Grade it would be several different colored pieces entirely as a way to keep the model's price down.
Fate Grand Order players will know me as Ryusei-Go.Just be careful around the edge instead of using masking tape. It take a bit of practice to get use to painting steadily, but it not that hard
I only use masking tape when there are no actual break point on the plastic. Example are Invasion Stripe on WWII plane.
Looks pretty good. You have a name for it?
Peace. Pace. Sanity. Check out my DeviantArt! ^_^Fafnir Astray since its quite expensive when look back on it.
It took 1 new RG, 1 new HG, 2 used HG, and parts from new 3 HG on display.
I not including the tools, paint, and other materials since I use those for other model.
What kits did you use to make that? The legs looked kind of like the Unicorn, but I can't place the rest
Fate Grand Order players will know me as Ryusei-Go.Nop, no Unicorn in this kit.
HG Red Frame and RG Strike Freedom form the main part (RG Red Frame released after I started this)
Used HG Deathscythe Hell EW and Ez.8 that was bought as a set.
Parts from on display HG Build Strike and Blitz
Okay, I decided.
My first two Gunplas shall be RX-78-2 Revive and Zaku II.
It turns out that my local department store actually has a decent amount of Gunplas, although it doesn't have the ones I mentioned above. It seems that most of them are actually from Build Fighters series.
And my God, Exia Darkmatter looks sick as hell. It's MG and cost roughly $50, but still.
One of these days. One of these days....
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Well, Build Fighters was apparently ridiculously popular even overseas, and it was a show all about gunpla, so it's not surprising we got a lot of GBF imports to me.
but HOW?Pretty much every MG runs around $50.
So, I'm trying to find a kit that I could use to mod my high grade Turn A Gundam, but it seems like Turn A is larger than most high grades. As a result, swapping parts makes it seem oddly proportioned.
Does anyone know of other slightly bigger high grade models?
I only know for sure Sinanju and Destroy mode Unicorn is bigger than normal.
Other than that, try looking at their given height at the wiki.
You can also look at Dalong.net. It is Korean model review site that have an option for English name and they do have lot of picture. The first picture is always next to a cigarette carton so you can use that to check their height.
Thank you.
Okay, finally found my good grave robbing shovel, lemme dig into this.
Has there been any word on when we're getting Master Grade IBO kits?
Regardless of your opinion of the last American election, we can all agree on one thing- The Chinese Communist Party can choke on scrotes!
OK, the best and most recent designs of the first two are the Revive RX-78 and the Origin version of Char's Zaku. You might want to hold off on the Zeta a little because they're currently doing a very modern, high-quality 'Revive' series, and two recent releases were the Gundam Mk.II and Hyaku Shiki, which means a Revive Zeta can't be all that far off.
What's precedent ever done for us?
