Can't you just send him to an Apple store? Helping an older man figure out this sort of thing is what I thought they specialized in.
Charlie Tunoku is a lover and a fighter.A good idea, but Granddad's health has declined to the point where he is unable to travel into town. He can have people run errands for him and pick things up, but that won't get the job done here. It seems unlikely the Apple Store would be willing to send somebody out to his house to show him how to use his iPad—I don't think that's covered under his AppleCare plan.

And you could always call and see if somebody would be willing to do it pro-bono. I mean, not everybody there can be an android, somebody has to hit the reset switch if there's a paradox.

Not long ago, my granddad bought an iPad 2 as a replacement for his aging eMac. I'm trying to figure out how to set up video chat from my PC to his iPad, such that the iPad can easily send me video from either the front or rear-facing camera of the iPad.
The problem is that Granddad is barely capable of following highly specific instructions regarding technology, and asking him to figure out how to use video chat on the iPad is not going to produce the desired result. I need someone to install the Skype app on an iPad 2 and take some screenshots of the interface so that I can walk him through the process of enabling video chat. Is anyone able to help with this?
