Your argument is null, who cares if all the examples are about the same two people? Does that make the examples any less worthy of being there?

And besides, looks like you missed one.

  • In a recent episode Back To Max, Maxine says nice and flattering things about Max to a girl he likes in an effort to win her over. It works, but consequently said girl believes Maxine has a crush on Max. The sentence before that, she mentioned they were cousins.

Yes, incest has been pre-judged. It is not on any kind of common footing with any other sexuality. It is harmful to those who are not able to consent with a full understanding.

Even if ages are nearly equal or genders identical.

"It is harmful to those who are not able to consent with a full understanding."

So is everything else in this world. But what was the point in even saying that? Is this turning into a 'why incest is bad' debate now? Hell, if it is then I vote we kick all Ho Yay pages to the curb cause Homosexuality can't continue the human race. While we're at it let's get rid of the rape tropes since those offend me as well.

Doesn't make too much sense, does it.

And? I mean, yeah, its not good in Real Life, but that page isn't about Real Life.

I have no idea what the work in question is, but if people are seeing the Yay, they're seeing the Yay. Judging by the massive amount of text that was copied, it could probably stand to be trimmed down though.

Does it make the examples any less worthy of being there? Let's see.

a) It's a page on incest, in a children's show. Incest is something that generally squicks out people, who are our readers. That is, the page is potentially squicking viewers, thereby losing the wiki readers, which runs against the purpose of the wiki.

You can make the same argument against all Yay tropes and against the Rape tropes. However, the difference is, Ho Yay is generally accepted among the population; and the Rape tropes do not have entire pages dedicated to them beyond the Trope page itself.

b) It reads as a shipping page. Take a look at fandom arguments on shipping, guys, seriously.

c) It is an entire page dedicated to cataloging examples of Incest Yay between two characters of a show, with one small entry tucked in there dedicated to another pairing.

I see no reason why this page has to exist. Can the Incest Yay trope not merely be placed on the YMMV page with one example for each pairing?

If its really that minor, then definitely stick it on the YMMV page, skimming over the copypasta from earlier, it does look very nattery.

Is there any arguments against cutting the page and just putting the Incest Yay trope on the YMMV page?
