"so awesome and perfect that it's hilarious" is too close to Parody Sue to be perceived as separate.
While "the character who prevents real or imaginary Suefication by being just so great that however cool the protagonists may be, they fall short of this" clearly is a legitimate trope.

This trope is about a character who is so awesome and perfect that it's hilarious. Before viewing the article, I had no idea that it was a comedy trope named after the almighty Ace Rimmer. I thought it was an Ace Pilot that isn't necessarily a pilot due to the heavy misuse. I've seen so many links to this page under this incorrect definition that it's sad.
Perhaps we could rename it to something like Comedically Perfect to emphasize the comedy part.
