Good. That's the trope. It's working.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickOkay, let me look through my trap folder.
Nevermind, meh.

If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.Keep.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdYeah, the fact that you can't tell that it's a guy is the the entire point. I think we can keep it; it's one of the few cases where we should let the caption do the work. The way the trope generally appears in media is "Oh, what a cute gir- wait. She has a what!?" And that's pretty much what the image/caption combo does.
Reaction Image Repository+1 to keep the current image.
Also Jun looks nothing like a Shoujo anime heroine.
Eh I dunno, he looks like he can fit in pretty well with the Shugo Chara cast if he had more obvious eyelashes.
But yeah, not very close to most shoujo art style.
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.I've never thought this was a terribly good image, and have always thought, e.g., a Jimmy Olsen image would be better and less bordering on JAFAAC, but most people seem to like it.
Jet-a-Reeno!Much like some of the other appearance tropes, I think this is one where we can be a little more lenient with JAFAAC.
I'm failing to see how Jimmy Olson is an example at all, not to mention how he'd be any less of JAFAAC than Jun.
At least with Jun, its the central facet of his character.
Now, the only way I think we could improve it is by showing both male and female versions, such as in this Hourou Musuko promotional art.
They aren't the same person. They're just both crossdressing.
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.
Huh?
Oh, I guess I could have worded it better. Those are a boy dressed as a girl and a girl dressed as a boy.
And the point is that you can't tell. Having an obvious crossdressing male defeats the entire purpose!

Third panel here? (nsfw ads, be careful)
Admittedly it would be better for Dropped A Bridget On Him, but still.
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits. There's nothing in Wholesome Crossdresser that requires the crossdresser to look good or look indistinguishable from a female character. Attractive Bent-Gender would be the one where the person in the image needs to look good.
Anyway, I'm pretty cool with the current image and caption, which has been around for a long time and people seem to like....

Jet-a-Reeno!Okay, I don't have a problem with the current pic, but I think this might be better.
[1]◊
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits. To me (and probably to other non-anime fans), many anime characters look androgynous, due to that whole Only Six Faces thing.
Something from Tootsie would be perfect. There are tons of possibilities.
Would this one◊ work, or is it too grainy?

Apparently Wholesome Crossdresser is about people who are not just sane and well-adjusted, but are also convincing—so if it's obvious that the character is biologically the opposite gender, it's not an example.
I'm tempted to just put any random character of any gender or gender identity as the pic, with the caption something like "You shouldn't be able to tell that this person is an example of this trope, so why does it matter?"
I retract the Tootsie suggestion, I didn't look further up the page...I'm still good with the current pic, but post 11 is a really good option too.

what about post 17
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits. How about this? (sized to 350.)
And then there is this [1]◊ or [2]◊

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Of those, the one that's uploaded is a lot better than the links...honestly, though, I still prefer post 11 or the current pic.
I looked at the picture and immediately saw a generic shojo anime heroine - I didn't think it had anything to do with crossdressing until I saw the caption.
OH SHI-
