One thing I always hated. There was three years between Soul Edge and Calibur. Four years between SC1 and SC2. And then the timeline just... stopped.
I blame their fear of middle-aged women. They didn't want to risk making Taki and Ivy unappealing by adding more years to them.
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation.Yes, Soul Calibur II up to IV take place on the span of six to eight months.
Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...Didn't they say Ivy stopped aging because of her connection to Soul Edge?

Yeah, she stopped aging because she was heavily exposed to Soul Edge.
Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...She stopped aging because the designers didn't want to make a new Fanservice character :P
I do writing, feel free to check out my stories here! https://numbugwritingblog.tumblr.com/post/686233243868102656/numbugs-shared-heroic-uniYeah, but she can’t say that in story.
So SC’s creator isn’t going to give the kids the Hsu Hao treatment? Shame.
And that’s a wide swath of history. Does that cover Soul Blade as well?
Being Ret-Gone isn't enough for you?
And nope, he's not covering the first game. For some goddamn reason.

Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...The same timeline stagnation happened in Tekken around the same time. Going from character's ages, there were two years between Tekken 1 and 2, nineteen years between Tekken 2 and 3, two years between Tekken 3 and 4, and then Tekkens 4, 5, 6 and 7 have all supposedly taken place in the same year.

every little word and every little stepMan, the Mishimas have been busy on the last year.
Wake me up at your own risk.@Beatman: As much as you wouldn't like it, but they're not Ed Boon. They felt that slamming him in that one profile thing and then retconning him was enough. People deal with disliked characters differently.
And I think I'm getting unnerved in people getting Catharsis Factor in turning a game into a "Kill Characters You Don't Like" show.
That character was liked, it's just the game that was disliked, so the character was salvagable. If the character is disliked on both sides, end of the line. Tremor clearly is on a different league than Patroklos or Hsu Hao.

Well some characters from bad games find life in good ones. Remember Tremor?
Tremor's the bomb.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!He fights pretty dirty though.
I am leaving this thread and letting the door hit me on the way out in the hopes of the trauma possibly causing forgetfulness.
I have no idea what's going on here, but getting the topic little back on track I've heard nothing but positive from hands-on impressions. So if anyone wants to share any gripes with the game that be cool.
My only gripe is that I'm not playing now, and Voldo has yet to be confirmed. Oh and Koreans.
Now you get why I'm condemning the risk of not all of the original nineteen appearing.
Criticize my "doomsaying" all you want, but I have at least some points when doing it.

Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...Just because you're correct doesn't mean you're right.
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaWould you mind telling me what do you define as right? Being a jerk (as in the posts that had lead to my suspension) may be indeed a crime, but having an opinion that goes against the flow isn't.
People should stop judging others by the first impression.

Despite how much I like that dialogue from Unlimited Blade Works, I often wonder how seriously I should take that quote. I like what it means, but it just sounds so stupid when you say it out loud.
People die when they are killed?
I mean Shirou is a genuine moron so of course he would say some stupid-ass shit.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
3 games took place over the course of a single year?
