Bad as the port is, it's better than Bayo being 360 exclusive, which it would've been had Kamiya had his way.
So I just picked this game up the other day.
Any tips and tricks at all guys...?
Dodge and Dodge Offset. Use them.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.Bayonetta just released on Steam
I'd ask how that's supposed to work, but, yeah, Xbox controllers.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Trailer just for fun
Those who purchase the title will be handed the Digital Deluxe Edition for no additional cost until April 25.
So I wasn't tripping balls and hallucinated that this game was on Steam?
Goood to know.
Waiting for the Digital Foundry video for comparison sake.
Watch SymphogearWell, this version supports 4K apparently. So...
This game looks interesting. Is there any reason to get it on PC over Wii U, or vice-versa?
Wii U has various Nintendo costumes, PC supports higher resolutions.
Steam refunds give no fear, so I jumped in.
It's an OK port. I'm a bit baffled as to how such an old game needs that strong a PC to run at 1080/60, but I don't make video games, and 720p is god's given resolution.
It's still Bayonetta, so it's still excellent.

"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018If I recall there are some moments that cause even the 360 and Wii U versions of Bayo to have some framedrops. So the PC version's your way of having a complete uninterrupted locked 60 fps experience.
Also it may be moddable.
So I've beaten the game on Normal and am now trying to Platinum every stage so that I can unlock Jeanne. I've Pure Platinumed the prologue stage, and gotten Platinum on Chapters 1 (the starting chapter), 3 (the level with all the damned lava) and 13 (the Sapientia fight), and I've gotten Gold on most of the others. I can already tell that some of the stages (5, 9, 14 and 15 among them) are going to be aggravating as fuck due to having to fight some real bullshit enemies, not to speak of having to do every damned Alfheim again (some of those things were pure bullshit, particularly the one in 15 where you don't have Witch Time and you have to fight flaming shit, which requires Fire Durga, Wicked Weaves or ranged weapons).

The flaming enemies is one reason I liked the Wii U version, since the Master Sword can attack flaming enemies normally like the Fire Durga
Can't you also hit fire enemies with Odette, or does that only let you walk on fire? I definitely remember using it to cheese one of Jubileus's phases, but I don't recall if it works on fire enemies.
I have a message from another time...Dumb Question - Bayonetta 2 port for the Switch?
Because people are buying the Switch.
I wouldn't say no to that.
I might even buy it, since it'd mean active people on Tag Climax.
I wouldn't enjoy having to redo the Rodin fight, though.
I have a message from another time...Make Bayonetta 3 and release a trilogy pack on Switch.
The problem is Bayonetta 2 flopped badly.
If true, that only really matters if it harmed the company or discouraged the creators enough that a sequel is off the table.
Such is not the case.
I have a message from another time...Smash also makes Bayonetta more visible.
Where there's life, there's hope.
PSN release next week. Doesn't really say if that's everywhere or just the US.
