Vague and/or Pointless Page Quote: One More Day

To me, the quote doesn't say anything except, "Linkara loathes this comic," and that makes this story indistinguishable from the 100s other comics he hates. Would anyone mind if I removed it?

The difference is that he really does hate One More Day, and not just think its kinda crappy. There's a difference.

People take comedy reviewers too seriously. *sigh*

I'm fine with the quote. The picture on the other hand. Crooked, blended in, MS Paint X's is the best we can do there? Why don't we just stick with the regular cover and leave the Take Thats to DMOS and Wallbanger?

I asked someone in Ask The Tropers where I should go if I wanted to question the quality of a page quote, and he/she said that if no one responded on the discussion page, I should try the Image Pickin' forum.

Not sure why, generally the Image Pickin' is for images. TRS is a more general thread.

Anyway, I stand by my view that reviews are not quotes. A summary or an X Meets Y type of statement might fly but "I, reviewer X, hate this work" doesn't.

Looks like it was Fighteer, who's a mod who should know of which he speaks. We should get clarification on how broad Image Pickin' really is.

In any case, I support the quote's removal. Page quotes definitely should not be pointless Complaining or Gushing about the work.

Is there anything else we need to talk about here?

I think it was suggested to change the image because it's a fanmade attack on One More Day, rather than a picture. Give me a second with GIS.

Eh, I thought page quotes and images fell into the same general category. Doesn't matter though; the issue was resolved.

Slightly tangential to the OP, but about 90% of all references to One More Day on TV Tropes consist of multiple paragraphs of meandering natter which ALSO say "Linkara loathes this comic." Or, to be more precise, "This Troper loathes this comic."

I was more miffed at the fact this quote doesn't say why Linkara hates One More Day.
