"Then please call a negotiator, Captain," pleaded Doppler. "Stall for time. I don't know when other supers might arrive, but if they get their own ideas and their plans collide with ours, hostages will die."

He looked at the building and took a deep breath. "Barring teleportation or shapeshifting the only way into that building is going to be the windows along the sides and the back. I can scout ahead and eliminate sentries as needed. Here are what I will need, Captain.

"See if you can extend the cordon to the back, and if you can get a tall ladder, preferably from the fire department. Call the alarm company and ask them to deactivate all alarms in the building. See if that building has security cameras, because those will need to be looped. I'll need to break the glass quietly, which will take duct tape and a mallet." He tried to think of any other contingencies. This was the type of operation where absolutely nothing could be left to chance.

Fogata didn't need super hearing to figure out that those two younger girls were a problem. At least none of the police were paying attention, due to the recent announcement by the criminals. There was almost no room for error now, with the countdown. While she herself wasn't registered, they sounded like they were about to charge in...very dangerous.

She'd have to do something about it. It was probably a more useful approach than using her powers to annoy the criminals (not that she couldn't do both). After all, the police weren't really making any effort to keep civilians away.

Checking to make sure that the one criminal was still cold, she moved over to the two. "Get out of here," she said quietly, but firmly. The last thing any of them needed was some gung-ho ditzy girls rushing in and getting the hostages killed.

Alan Sullivan yawned and stretched as he woke up. Looking at his clock, he saw that it was earlier than he would have liked to get up. However, while he tried closing his eyes again to go back to sleep, he just didn't feel tired.

With a grumble, he decided to pull himself out of bed, and after putting on a bathrobe and slippers, he proceeded through his home to the kitchen and poured himself a glass of orange juice and turning on a television to get a quick glance at what was going on in the world. The local news was solely focused on a bank robbery that was taking place right there in New Terrin.

"Hmm." He pointlessly commented to himself. After watching long enough to get the basics, he changed the channel and started flipping through them to see if he could find any news stories of value about the world at large.

"Um... Why, uh, should we?" Lyna nervously asked the strange woman. "I mean, uh, as long as the police are, uh, here, we're safe, right?"

"Besides," added Romana, "We can handle ourselves. Ain't that right, Lyna?"

"Ahah... I guess so." As if by instinct, Lyna reached a hand inside her jacket and brushed her fingers against the Dream Rod. Huh... Should've guessed I wouldn't be able to get too much power in this kind of situation... But I can still take them. I think.

Mann waited for Doppler to move out of earshot.

"Call in some supers?" he muttered to Patriot. "I don't suppose-?"

Patriot was shaking his head before Mann had even finished the question. "No. I'm here to observe only. I'll intervene if things go south, but that's it."

Mann sighed. "I don't suppose you know of any Supers that might be good here, then?"

Captain Patriot bit his lip for a second. "You need a negotiator, right? Try calling Incubus up- he's a Telepath who works with his voice. He'll probably do you good. Apart from that... Slipstream is really the only person I can imagine doing any good here, or perhaps Nitron."

Mann nodded. "Incubus and Nitron. Got you."

Mann turned away to make his calls.

The hostages all lay shivering on the ground, trying to edge away from the guard standing over them.

Jane was in the middle of the group, sitting protectively in front of her sister.

"What do you want?" one of the others in the group yelled. "Why are you involving us in this?"

"Shut up," the guard growled. He held out his Glock, aiming it at her. "Be quiet, or I'll make you be quiet."

Jane bit her lip.

This situation was dangerous. If the police didn't hurry up... She might have to take the situation into her own hands.

"¿Qué pasa con estas chicas?" Fogata muttered, irritated that they completely misunderstood the situation. Trying to think of a way to convince them to leave without revealing either of them were supers was not a simple thing.

"Look, I heard what you said before about the police," she settled on saying, "You know they might arrest you for suspicious behavior if they knew you said that. So you need to get out of here...now."

Having said that, she turned her attention back to the building, lowering the one criminal's temperature yet again. If that failed to convince those two, they could well be screwed...but there was nothing she could do about it at the moment. For now, she just had to focus on the situation at hand. No telling what would happen next...she had to be ready for anything.

Precision dropped on the roof. He stopped the hover board and burshed off his uniform.

"Well, That took quite awhile," he thought. He looked around for Supers on the roof top.

Revolver finally carved out a 1 and a half feet hole with the impromptu hydro cutter, depleting its entire liquid carbine. Seeing the piece of cement sag and prepare to fall down, the man hurriedly grabbed it and started spinning it up, and setting it near him. He then quietly looked into the hole to check what was down there before he went in.

"Fine then, if you really think so..." mumbled Lyna, before adding in a whisper to Romana, "We can always find someplace for me to change and come back."

Her friend nodded in response, and the two backed away from the crowd.

Doppler shifted on his feet. "How long will it take Incubus to get here? If it takes too long we'll lose hostages. And is there any word on the building's security?"

Nathan was sitting at a bestro across the street from the bank, wearing a sleeveless shirt proudly displaying his USMC ink. He watched other heros sneaking off to change into their costumes, he didn't need a fancy costume like these kids had, all he needed was simple body armor and his knifed. He picked up his bag and took out his wallet but was stopped by the waiter "no charge sir" he said pointing to the tattoo "my dad, brother, and grandfather were marines...I'd be one to if not for this damn knee". Nate sliped him a 20 while walking past. He slipped into the ally, put on his vest, the long coat, and sun glasses. Then he started planning

Revolver then lowered himself into the hole, and let go as his hands were the last to disappear through. He landed quietly in a low crouch, bending his knees to absorb the impact. Straightening up, he crept towards the door, edging along the walls.

Precision got back on his hover board and flew to the edge of the facade. He looked over the edge. The police had surrounded it, and there were a few Supers.

"This is tough," he thought, observing every detail, "But I can't chicken out." He was extremely nervous, but his dignity and lack of common sense prevented him from just taking off.

"There's only one way," he thought, "If everything goes wrong, I can just take off into traffic, and hope the police won't shoot into the street."

He pressed down his left foot and dove down, riding on the front wall of the bank.

"I suppose—" began Doppler. He was interrupted by the sound of the hoverboard; as he watched in utter disbelief Precision blazed down the front of the building. Doppler cursed thoroughly and fluently under his breath. "For heaven's sake—if the tangos see that air show and start shooting hostages, I am personally hunting his ass down!"

He clenched his teeth. There was nothing to do about that but to accelerate the plans. "I am going to recon the alleyways," he said to the captain. "Tell your men not to shoot if they see any blurs or hear footsteps, it's me."

With that he ducked out of sight, turned invisible, and strode off into the alleyways to circle the building, still mentally cursing Precision. This time, he was looking through the windows with infrared and radar waves for any indications of human presence; additionally, he kept his eyes open for any surveillance cameras.

Mal, also known as Incubus, was in his car as soon as he got the call, trying his best to stay within 10 miles per hour of the speed limit - he had enough points off his licence thank you. Especially after he crashed the company car.

Pulling up at the hostage bank, he practically skipped over to the officers.

"Expecting me?"

Fogata considered what to do next. The police were likely to try and arrest the newcomer, provided he turned out to not be registered. She shrugged mentally, and kept on doing what she'd been doing.

She found it surprising that the other criminals hadn't apparently reacted to their one teammate's shivers. Either they were not very bright or extremely disciplined. Fogata hoped it wasn't the latter, because that would make this a lot more complicated.

At least, thankfully, it seemed that that pair of younger girls had heeded her advice, and taken off. If they had seen this crazy hoverboarder's stunt, they probably would have tried something too. No gunshots or explosions yet; she was grateful for that much. Hopefully this would end quietly...although she was beginning to doubt it would, given how many supers were on the scene.

Apparently unnoticed by the cops - very busy people, Incubus had already started listening.

There were quite a few supers in the area and very few were registered. A smile smile spread across his face. As much fun as it would be to send all the cops into a panic about the unregs it would be even more fun to work with a couple.

Focusing in on one thought he looked directly to the man on the restaurant and sent him a message.

Revolver was in the third floor of the bank. It was completely deserted due to the fact that all the action was going on the first and second floor.
