Nobody? Literally, nobody but nobody. Particularly since default mother custody isn't actually a thing.

I don't have this study but I know it's been linked here before; women get custody most of the time because men don't contest custody most of the time. When men actually attempt to get custody they get it as often as women do.

[up] For one, that in most cases mothers gain custody isn't enough evidence to say that there is not discrimination at work at all. There are tons of reasons why fathers wouldn't contest custody. It's reasonable to assume that fathers only try to get custody if they believe they can win such a battle. And when the custody battle would literally bankrupt him, it's reasonable of the father to give up on it unless the mother is a good parent so the child can grow up in peace and relative wealth. And secondly? That fathers aren't discriminated against in child custody cases is such a ridiculous claim that I won't even waste the time of my life to debunk it. At most I will later post a link about it.

...Appeal to Ridicule already, huh? You know that's not an argument, right?

The truth doesn't require you to think it's plausible to be true.

[up] You just made a blanket statement, cited no source at all, ignored every issue that might have caused this situation if it doesn't support your cause and then you expect me to accept your "argument" as undeniable truth? Yeah, right.

I'd really like somebody to start posting some sources on the custody issue..

This argument is pretty interesting, either way.

Women have every reason to fight for men's rights. Many women do.

RE: Custody, fix the wage gap, allow easier access to abortions and contraceptions, and change people's views about women as breadwinners. That issue will gradually disappear.

Second Taoist here; nothing else to say, really.

(Also, knew that picture was coming before I even clicked on it.)

[up][up] Is that really fighting for men's rights? The first picture attempts to break a few gender roles but with the end message being "and that's why you should support girls. Not boys, they'll get along just fine". They're secondary. A bonus. And based on questionable reasoning.

The others? Ehh ... I praise good dads in the media and want to see more of them but can hardly call supporting a good advert here and there "fighting for men's rights". Likewise, Taoist, you seemed to think feminism was the answer to all men's problems but issues like lack of funding for male illnesses, the higher rate of suicide for men and having so few domestic violence shelters are issues that feminism won't solve.

I'd really like somebody to start posting some sources on the custody issue..

This report says about 1 in 6 custodial parents are fathers (17.8 percent). It's on the first page and I didn't read further than that.
