Added it to the crowner.
Right now, several of the options (including everything in green) look like dialogue titles and as such, no matter how many votes they get, they are likely to be vetoed by Fast Eddie.

Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere.Man has to learn to let live. That a trope name can be, somehow, even if squinted at, be read as a line of dialogue does not automatically make it a bad trope name and a sin of the internets. Look at Screw the Money, I Have Rules! and its variety, and the leading proposal of No Need To Call Me God here, which is also pretty concise for what the trope is about.
Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?Personally, I don't mind the "dialogue" titles either. But unless somebody can convince him to make an exception, what's the point of pretending they are viable options?

Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere.Need votes?
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.A lot of the proposals in the crowner look like dialog. I am pretty sure Eddie will personally smite us if he finds this.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanMan needs to let live. Also I'm amazed / amused that the option that has a quote yet is not dialog-like with the highest votes is zero...
Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?<Mod Hat> No dialogue names, and that includes the current leading name, are valid choices. We are no longer allowing dialogue named tropes. </Mod Hat>
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickWould you mind if I edit the crowner to take those line-of-dialog titles out? Or does a mod need to do that?
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Go ahead. Just make sure to leave an edit reason.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI thumped the dialog-like names there, but I didn't touch the "Oh My God"-"Smith will suffice" ones as I am not quite sure what they are supposed to become.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanBumping. This still needs more votes and more non-dialog trope names.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanMaybe it would simplify things to create a new crowner with only the acceptable names on it, and a bold note not to add any more. Then the disqualified names won't be clogging it up.

Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere.I don't know. By this point, I would ask for the crowner and thread to be closed due to lack of consensus.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWe could do an even simpler crowner that only includes the 6 acceptable names down to -5, since the others have clearly been rejected. And change the thread title to mention the new crowner.

Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere.I think we should simply restart the crowner with only the valid names in there. Most of the crowner activity was (as usual) at the beginning of the crowner, so I think it's likely that people who preferred the now-disqualified option would have voted the rest down.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Putting a clock here. It doesn't seem there's any consensus on the crowner.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerHooking up a new crowner. If this doesn't see consensus either, then renaming will be considered impossible.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerAll those names are pathetic IMHO, in particular Unintentional Deification. They read like laconics, not like trope names. At least Answering To "Oh My God" is impersonal and reads like it is about the trope.
Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?Bump for votes.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerCrowner called.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerDone, with wicks, pages, redirects and notes on Renamed Tropes, discussion and the FAQ thread.

Crown Description:
Note: no dialog-like titles are allowed on the crowner!
