Brb, facepalming forever over the article's comments.
"I don't know how I do it. I'm like the Mr. Bean of sex." -DrunkscriblerianYou read comments? I thought you knew better ;)
A brighter future for a darker age.Hey, I need to reaffirm my faith in human stupidity sometimes.
"I don't know how I do it. I'm like the Mr. Bean of sex." -DrunkscriblerianHey nothing is funnier than article/youtube comments. It's comedy gold it is!

They are comedy gold!
Also, Superman is saying it is better to be part of a Universal Community rather than just focused on America?
Surely that is a good thing in general, especially as it might open up different storylines (I have no idea which storylines have been done at all).

By the powers invested in me by tabloid-reading imbeciles, I pronounce you guilty of paedophilia!Nothing is funnier than a Canadian made superhero being lamented for losing his American-ness.

its like watching the circus when you read comments
Fee fi fo fum. I smell Kraft Dinner. This is bizarre. There are so many intelligent, well-educated and rational American Tropers and yet I keep running into colossi of ignorance like the people who posted on this about the importance of "Middle America" and how the writers of Supes are being "secular progressives".
"You can only come to the morning through the shadows."This seems kind of out-of-character.

Kill all math nerds
Universal community?! This is Obama's fault!
Well to be fair after all the controversy with Obama's birth certificate:
Well I guess Superman can't run for presidency since he wasn't born in America.
But that would have gotten destroyed when Krypton exploded. GASP! Does this mean that Superman is lying about his birth country and isn't an alien?

Superman is Donald Trump?
He could be a dastardly Notpyrkian!
i. hear. a. sound.I just had the misfortune of reading the comments.
What...the...hell.
"England killed the Indians before America was a country" "White people were there first and the 'natives' killed them and returned the favor."
That has to be trolling.
This does kind of seem like the writer's personal beliefs replacing the character's. I mean, it may be more true to Superman's roots but he has changed since then.
Kill all math nerdsI guess the question is what is more important. How the character was supposed to act, or how the viewers THINK he's supposed to act?
Citizen of the universe? What happened to the rest of the multiverse, Superman?!
[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.If a country had tried to kill me, I'd renounce my citizenship too.
"Nerd failure" is a legitimate insult now.
Well, it only makes sense for Superman to renounce citizenship. I mean what is the political situation if America goes into a war and someone decides to try and draft Supes in citing some absurd notion such as "duty to the country"? It's not like he was born there or something. After all, to my knowledge "the American way" is not limited to "America".
