You know, I really think this would work. There probably wouldn't be as many pages as the Haiku wiki, since Limericks are a bit harder to write, but I think it'll work.

Evil is my favorite color. There once was a troper who thought,
"Why, I like limericks quite a lot."
He found here a thread,
But it seemed to be dead.
It'd be a pity to let this thread rot.

Evil is my favorite color.I'd be down with this, but that prolly goes without saying.
Caaan anybody find me... Somebody to ♠Does this still not exist? Shame. I just came up with one for Naughty Tentacles (not that that exists anymore either):
There once was a girl from Phu Ket
Whose calamari needs couldn't be met
She bought one alive
Every evening at five
And returned it the next day, un-et.
I wanted to make a limerick of my own, but I couldn't think of one that communicates oll the points I want to make. Oh well.
First, I thought of this idea myself a couple of times, and now thought I'd go look for a place to suggest it.
Second, I can't believe this thread inspires so little discussion. Let me try to amend that.
Third, I think the wiki should be for Silly Little Poems, preciesly to discourage people from trying to self-publish a self-proclaimed magnum opus rhyming fanfic.
Fourth, I think we should limit the poems to existing formulas, but be able to add new ones if they fit. The rule of thumb should be Not more than five lines, and each line not more than, say 13, syllables.
Fifth, the structures we should have at first should be Haikus, Limericks and two to four line poems of the AABB, ABAB, ABBA or similar variety.
Sixth, I second (or third, or whatever) the motion to make the symbol a beret, for ze french are known to make zome zilly little poems for, 'ow do you zay, from ze time to time, no?
By the way there's a TLP draft revolving around limericks. I'm currently handling it as the OP might be not around anymore.

Of this idea I am in favor
trope-tastic poetry to savor
Limericks are made of win
so let us begin
lest the subject of this thread start to waiver
