Are they trying to keep up with the manga timeline? I don't follow it myself, so I wouldn't know.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...
They have to, more or less. This is a monthly manga, and in some cases one chapter is only good enough for half an episode, and this is why despite all the padding (original eps and the Once an Episode moments) they have to space every season by 18 months.
Well, if you don't count her extreme Blue with Shock in the haunted house. She looks more afraid than Hiro who has an established fear on this kind of stuff.

Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaEpisode 9 has too many Continuity Nods and we need to catalogue all those.

Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaBest episode of the season. Funny, and reaffirms why Land Lady is one of my favorite characters.
FFF doesn't have episode 9 yet.
FFFFFFFF...
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...I GET IT.
You know, watching this episode made me realize that we've never been shown ANY of Nori's artwork over the course of the series. I double-checked Hoshimittsu to be sure. I find it strange, especially since we've gotten used to actually SEEING the different styles of the four first tenants of Hidamari. But with Nori we've gotten... nothing.
I cannot remember what each of their art styles was, except that Miya has a tendency towards the incomprehensibly abstract.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...I guess Nori would be more into CG (remember students can choose "digital arts" instead of planes and solids?).
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaShe did mention getting into Flash, I think.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...
Not really; she said Flash was too expensive for her and she mainly relies on open-source software.

Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaPrepare the tissues. Hidamari Sketch Gets New Anime of Sae & Hiro's Graduation . Kind of a bittersweet news.
Oh wow. I wonder if this will be anything like the graduation from Azumanga Daioh.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Not that surprising, since the manga's already heading that way...
^ How did Azumanga do it?

Give me cute or give me...something?It can't be completely like Azumanga, because in that one, everyone graduated together. Here, only 1/3 of the main cast is graduating.
Not that that's going to make it any less sad...
Scans of the new chapter are out and, yeah, it's pretty much Sae and Hiro's graduation. I laughed at how the pair received the same (LITERALLY) text messages from their parents. Hmm.
Also, Natsume, Natsume. Have to feel for her this time, especially when she broke down in front of Sae.
16 days until the graduation OVA.
My body and tear ducts will not be ready.
Oh my god graduation what.
I really need to get around to finishing the last season.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Sae and Hiro are going to graduate because they are third years.
Yeah, I know that. And I know it had to happen eventually, but man, I'm just not ready for it yet!
Any idea if there's going to be more Hidamari Sketch after this? Like, with Yuno and Miya as third years and all?
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...
The series is Yuno's personal journey, so I don't think the manga will end anytime soon. As for the anime though...
So the time has come... Sae and Hiro Graduation.

Episode 1 shows how moody Hiro can be, and how she often understates it.
But 15 days of exam? She applied to at least 4 schools... They need to test 3 days/school?
Oh, and the fattening tonkatsu.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaA few things:
Nakayama is growing on me. I don't know if it's the OP's influence, but...
Pleasant Natsume is best Natsume.
I hope there's more HS anime after the graduation; I wanna hear Matsuri!
Finally, a question: We know that Hiro wants to be an art teacher. (Whether that ends up being at Yamabuki or not is irrelevant, but let's say she is sent there, just 'cause.) From graduation, how long would that tend to take?
How — and when — do you tell a philosophy it's adopted? What do you do when it wants to meet its birth adherents?
It's amazing just how much better a Hidamari episode is when Nazuna isn't being miserable everytime she's onscreen.
That said, why do I have the feeling that Shaft is blitzing through the timeline. I mean, it's like they're in a terrible hurry to see both Sae and Hiro off, and from what I've read from manga readers, in the process they're skipping a lot of interesting stories.
