Good to know. I only mentioned the possibility of other pages being cut because someone brought up the Troper Tales-esque nature of the HONF pages being problematic (which is also something of an issue in the Heartwarming, Tear Jerker and similar YMMV pages).

All right. Accidental Nightmare Fuel has been pruned of examples, and there is talk of cutting the trope entirely. High Octane Nightmare Fuel has also had all links to subpages pruned, though cutting still hasn't happened as of yet. There is considerable debate going on in the Special Efforts thread
on what we are to do with High Octane Nightmare Fuel.
An idea that I had, which I do believe was a crowner at some point, was to rename Nightmare Fuel to Scary Moments and repurpose it to cover scary scenes in media much like the other tropes (Funny Moments, Awesome Moments, Heartwarming Moments, Tear Jerker) do for scenes of their particular nature.
The other major idea that was making the rounds on that thread was turning High Octane Nightmare Fuel into a supertrope/index.
ANF won't be cut. It will just be a definition.
HONF may need moving to either Sugar or Darth if people don't like it on the main wiki.

If we do move it to one of the subwikis, Darth Wiki would be my choice, since High Octane Nightmare Fuel is not meant to provoke positive emotions like the tropes on Sugar Wiki are (and I do believe Sweet Dreams Fuel, the opposite of this, is a Sugar Wiki page).

Considering that High Octane Nightmare Fuel is a trope about things that cause fear (which isn't a positive emotion by any stretch of the imagination) and pretty much every one of the Sugar Wiki tropes are about positive things, I strongly disagree with putting it in Sugar Wiki.
The HONF subpages are in Darth Wiki anyway (what with the grey-and-black background), so going all the way and putting HONF itself on Darth Wiki seems like the best option.

Nope, High Octane Nightmare Fuel is on Main and has a white background. The subpages have a dark background via special coding, though.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.They're not in Darth. Darth is an entirely separate namespace which cannot be linked in the main wiki. You have to write DarthWiki.Wallbanger, not just Wallbanger to get a link.
Just like YMMV, they just have a different background.

Considering that HONF's background is the same one that's used for Darth Wiki's various pages (as opposed to YMMV's color scheme), I don't know about that.
And things like Wall Banger and So Bad Its Horrible were once pages on the regular wiki before being shunted to Darth Wiki due to being serious Flame Bait, and the subpages use their original links — they're just not used (or linked to) on the regular wiki.

HONF is not on Darth Wiki. If it were in Darth Wiki, it would not appear in a work's tab, because things on a work's tab are not supposed to send you to Darth. Even a mod just said it's not in Darth. What more proof do we need?

Darth would be a fitting place, because I don't think the wiki is only for bitching, but I'm afraid that's not possible. We try to link to Darth as little as possible, and HONF is on a work's tab. An entire tab that sends you to Darth may not be a good idea.
Also, the subpages are not in Darth just because of the colour. Unless the main is in Darth, then the subpages are not in Darth either. Please accept that.

As used now, it is Crowning Moment Of Scary. That seems like Sugar Wiki, but people apparently have a perception that only "positive" things go in SW. Although, isn't being scared the reason people like scary media, and thus a "positive" thing? I don't know why horror, when the point is horror, is negative.

Which is why I'm proposing the Scary Moments thing. Though the main page would be a better place for Scary Moments, much like it is for Tear Jerker (which isn't on Sugar Wiki because it's about sad moments rather than happy).

Fear and sadness aren't exactly "good" things, unlike being awed or amused. That's why they will remain on main instead of Sugar Wiki.

Indeed. Tear Jerker and HONF cover things that are pretty emotionally upsetting, which definitely does not fit with Sugar Wiki at all.
That's a pretty good argument for cutting Sugar Wiki, but regardless of whether we do, the moments pages all belong together.
