I'm mainly starting this because Anime Boston is later this week, but I was wondering how many troper's are planning on going to anime conventions this year?

And I figure I'd start a thread for tropers going to anime con's around the world so they could make plans and meet up :D

Not going to AB. If I was, y'know, not going to be in Chicago, I might have. Or if it was less chaotic. Or if I had actually gotten my cosplay ready in time because I intended to go. (I haven't, of course, because I'm not going.)

I will, however, be making much use of this thread when ConnectiCon come around!

Going to Fanime in San Jose. I will be hosting a shmup panel there (look for "STG 101: Intro to Shoot-Em-Ups" on your panel schedule).

Man, Anime Boston was lots of fun. I wonder if I bumped into any tropers without knowing it... Any of you happen to see a Ryoga cosplayer?

Which Ryoga, the Ramma or Yu-gi-oh? though I don't think so either way.

Anime Central begins on Friday, May 20, just outside Chicago. I will be there. My goals are:

1. take good cosplay photos 2. don't waste too much money in dealers room 3. support creators I respect in the artist alley 4. attend some diverting panels 5. not get exhausted too quickly

I plan to go to MMC in Berlin later this year (October, more exactly). That will be my very first anime convention.

[up][up] Yeah, that was awesome. I didn't see any Fereris though, which was a little disappointing

[up]I'd never actually read it until after the con, but I knew of it because of tropes. I ended up losing interest before I even reached the characters I saw at the con.

There were tons of trolls at Anime North, too. Panty and Stocking were also everywhere.

I guess it is.

[up][up] Also many, many Ramonas.

I was surprised by the lack of Madoka Magica costumes, but I assume it's because they didn't have time to make them tongue

@Shadowbell: There was one Feferi at Anime North, iirc.
