We Are All Pokemon Trainers Discussion

So, I got an idea about an RP event.

What if, through means either scientific or supernatural, all or most Pokemon were sent into a coma?

They could be unreachable and just unconcious, or they could perhaps be in the Dream World.

However, those with human DNA could simply be unaffected. Ergo, trainers and Weremons would have to free them.

Perhaps a Glitch sent them into the comas, or maybe it was artifically produced by a corporation like Best Berry, in which case they could leave some Mons on their side unaffected.

Of course, this was just an idea that came to me in the shower, but thoughts?

As cool an idea on paper as that sounds, you would need some SERIOUS coordination to keep that from being extremely disruptive to ongoing stories, not to mention that extraordinary events usually require extraordinary circumstances.

Also, it's been done, that's basically the plot of Hoenn-1's Mindscape arc.

Yeah, you're right. I imagine this would throw a wrench into everything else.

Besides, it isn't like I spent a long time thinking about this.

I'm working on a miniplot to introduce a new Team to the world. I'll have them ready in a little bit.

Random and not very RP-related, but would anyone want to do, like, a themed competition-y thing in the games? Like, a little Eeveelution-only tournament-ish thing or something along those lines.

I'm not very competitive at all, admittedly, but I think it could be a fun thing to do with friends, maybe.

Sorry to kinda derail this, especially with kind of a downer, but I'm taking an indefinite but hopefully short hiatus from the RP.

The reason is that over the past three weeks or so my will to write anything has been drained considerably for various reasons I would rather not get into. It initially just applied to my fanfics (the further delay to Rude Awakening chapter 6 just stressing me further) but it gradually sapped my will to RP as well, to the point trying to keep Phaz's Trial going was kinda agonizing (though I made sure to see that through to the end).

I'll be back at it when I feel better; I'm not sure when that will be but hopefully not too long. For now I'll stick around this here Discussion thread as well as other meta hangouts.

(Also, I still fully intend on joining in on D&D night starting next week.)

Yeah so, I'll be going to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden (and maybe other places) with Every tomorrow so I probably won't be around till late.

Uh, yeah, like I mentioned in chat, for people who weren't there, I'm probably going to have spotty at best existence in the chat and RP because my mom just had a massive brain bleed and is in the hospital. This is, for lack of a better word, distressing due to my sister passing away from an aneurysm about 5 years ago around this same time. I uh... yeah. I don't really know what else to say, for once, but I don't know how long I'll be out.

I'm honestly not sure what to say either. Will my condolences and best wishes be sufficient?

I... ouch, aye I also I'm kinda at a loss for words, I'm wishing you all the best and hope that she'll be fine... -leaves a hug-

Asked Dad about the bird and he's not sure, especially from the angle, but he'd guess female Cowbird, if he had to.

Looking at the pics, I think it is indeed a female brown-headed cowbird.
