No it doesn't.

While we appreciate that you're interested enough in our little RP to make this page, smashing the fourth wall to bits is part of our identity. Characters sometimes show up in the spoiler text, and things that happen in the spoiler-text slip into the main continuity. It's just how the game works.

I think I'm going to start using this thread for walls of text that relate to the Gold Conference, rather than have massive blocks of spoiler text in the main thread. You can still respond there if you wish, and I'll always link to a post here from the main thread.

I've changed my mind slightly about releasing the bracket. I will upload it eventually, but I'd prefer for now that everyone's opponents and/or potential opponents remain a surprise until it gets revealed in-story. I'm exempting myself from this, since I was planning on losing my first or second battle anyway.

So, without further ado, here are everyone's first match-ups. As always when I'm listing people like this, they're in the same order as the character page lists us.

Read up on my opponent, it's either going to come down to both of our Lopunnys or who can make the most badass battle music.

What kind of team would Kurt have?

Something very fast, something very heavy, something female-only or female-majority, something that evolves via happiness, something that evolves via Moon Stone, and Shuckle.

So Arcanine, Snorlax, Clefable, Blissey, Musharna, and Shuckle?

Kurt should have a Slowbro or a Slowking as well.

Birch could have Sceptile, Blaziken, Swampert, Mightyena, Linoone and Swellow.

I guess we can swap out Snorlax for Slowking. It makes sense due to the Slowpoke Well and all.

Should we swap Snorlax or Shuckle?

Shuckle is from the manga. It's not set in stone, obviously, but that's where I got it.

Snorlax. Shuckle's practically canon due to Pokemon Special.

Also, you may want to rethink Blissey and Clefable. They fit into multiple categories. If you're okay with that though, then by all means leave them. I just thought I'd point it out.

Maybe he should have a Crobat. Arcanine isn't really that fast.

I guess could replace Arcanine with Crobat, and Blissey with Umbreon.
