Erio was so pretty this episode...!

I found the other girls less annoying this time. I think one thing that bothers me about Maekawa, though, is that I have a really hard time imagining anyone dressing up in eggplant-costumes and walking around normally like she does. She does give a reason for it, and it's hardly the weirdest thing about this show, but for some reason...

^It may not be the weirdest thing about this show, but it's still weird. At least Erio has mental trauma and defense mechanisms to blame for her eccentricity; Maekawa's just tweaked.

I have to wonder where she gets that stuff. I can't imagine there's much of a market for it, but they appear to be professional quality

Maekawa is perfectly normal except for her cosplaying habits.

^I know, which almost makes it even weirder. It's like... if Erio was the cosplay freak as well as an alien, that would seem almost normal - it'd just be 'oh, Erio'. But Maekawa actually seems relatively well-adjusted, so it's a shock.

You never know, Maekawa might have issues. And besides people that seem normal can have some pretty weird habits.

Anyway, I think Meme is clearly more nuts than Erio. Erio's actually gotten her act together remarkably quickly. And even she finds Meme to be very...well...Meme.

Yet another cute episode. Next episode apparently more focus on Ryuuko. Good, I enjoy watching her way more then Erio.

Well, that was an interesting episode. Meme is tweaked, and it's lucky Erio only ended up as weird as she did.

Also: another mention of this Elliot fellow, though whether or not that'll be important - well, it seems it will be important. Whether or not any of the people who find it important (current count: Meme and Tamatsu) are sane (current count: zero) is another matter.

June has been rough on poor Makoto's point count, huh.

Scarily, I think Erio may be the second most sane girl Makoto knows.

Current status, from most insane to least:

Meme > Ryuuko > Erio > Maekawa

We'll have to see where the silvered haired astronaut girl falls.

I'd have reversed Ryuuko and Maekawa's positions there

Maekawa simply enjoys cosplay. Other than that, she's a perfectly normal, functioning member of society, and can conduct a conversation without any major diversions or general nuttiness.

Something that cannot be said of the other three girls, and certainly cannot be said of Ryuuko.

She would be seen as normal if she did normal Shout-Out type cosplay. (I wonder if they will add a Nami Hito type character to this later.)

Meme seriously has the hots for her nephew. I'm scared for Makoto.

All the weirdness is fascinating though. Certainly helps to spice up the drama/comedy/moe/whatever's going on at the moment.

Is it just me or did Erio's design change this episode? She seems shorter and less... Curvy than previously. (especially her legs)

EDIT: And the glorious thing about Meme is that I can't tell if she's genuinely creepy or just the world's most dedicated troll.

The conversation with the parents implies the latter, though.

^^There was a lot of Off-Model during the twintails scene that made her look genuinely about twelve, so it wasn't just you.

I really like the subtle family resemblance they've got going between Erio and Meme. Their designs aren't even particularly outlandish but there were still scenes in this episode that just slapped me in the face with how she really is her daughter.

^Yeah, really. I think it was... one of the shots of Erio riding in Makoto's basket when I was struck by how similar she and Meme are.

Meme really doesn't make a good mother huh. I wonder if there's a reason for that.
