If I'm not riding on a plane or a starship, don't expect me to invert my Y-axis.

Shutdown sequence initiated.Oddly enough, I make an exception and invert for flying.
The term "Great Man" is disturbingly interchangeable with "mass murderer" in history books.Never, not even for flying. It just feels wrong.
Grabbing is where you must begin Shaking for treasure from within Throwing far is how to win! While I can deal with either, it only really feels right to invert Y on a stick. On a mouse, the direction you roll is the direction the screen should turn in.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit.Only for flying.
Not having plane controls with an inverted y-axis (upper key pitches downwards and lower key pitches upwards) seems wrongy to me. It's the same deal with helicopters and bikes (i.e. doing wheelies and stoppies).
No.
Exceptions are air vehicles, which, since I don't play flight sims, rarely happens.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.Control-stick, yes. Mouse, no.
She's playing with fire! He's not ready for Nibbly Pig!As with most people I never played inverted except for flight simulators. I do have a friend who inverts everything. This causes problems in black ops.
I used to, because the first games I played with a Y-Axis were Duke Nukem 3 D (always inverted when Mouse Aiming is enabled) and Final Fantasy VII (flying the highwind; as a result I completely sucked at Speed Square).
I reverted about when I got Command And Conquer: Renegade (and I've never played a flight simulator since).
Edit: I have however, played console games with both axes inverted (by virtue of analog stick): mostly The Legend Of Zelda games.

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."If I'm using a mouse or analog thumbstick, I prefer it the "normal" way-push up, look up, and vice versa. (Unfortunately, certain games like the Build engine ones call this "inverted" for some dumb reason.)
I invert the Y-axis only if I'm using a full-size joystick for control. (Mostly flight simulators, but it also applies to Steel Battalion's aiming lever.)
Also, any developers who don't provide inversion options need to be slapped. I remember trying to figure out the controls in this obscure game called Alpha Storm without a manual, and for the FPS parts, you're stuck with inverted look/aim. Period. No way to change it from what I can tell, and inverting the actual mouse axis input would just result in problems with everything that needs a mouse pointer, like the spacecraft control parts.
I'm fine with it either way.
You are not alone, and you are not strange. You are you, and everyone has damage. Be the better person.
