I don't quite get what this trope is... Just anytime a character is addicted and their spouse (or what-have-you) includes the addiction as part of an ultimatum?
If that's the case, the title is a little misleading. The lead quote makes zero sense out of context.
I can think of a few examples to add, but I'd like to clarify exactly what this is supposed to be first
I don't think the lead quote helps at all.
Ah, the legendary Needs A Better Title Needs A Better Description Needs More Examples trio.

Infinite Tree: an experimental storyBack to YKTTW with it.
Fight smart, not fair.It doesn't look like it ever saw daylight at YKTTW.
"I Can Quit Any Time" really should be a trope about the Stock Phrase the addict uses to claim that they aren't really addicted to their drug of choice.
It does sound like something we've already got. If it does get relaunched, it should probably be mentioned on Guilty Pleasures.
Fight smart, not fair. This is a stock phrase, has two examples, and nothing has been done with it.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI've Cutlisted it.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.
Or do we have this already?
This is the third thread like this I have started in the past couple of days. I don't go looking for these things, I just like to hit the random button. Now that is out of the way.
