It is too hard to see the noose in Lucia's execution.

Supporting one of the classical ones.

...It's not hard at all.

You can clearly see the rope around her neck leading upwards.

[up][up] I have to admit, it took looking at the pic in the crowner to see the noose...the first time I saw that pic, I thought he (she?) was tied to a stake.

I was going to say a classical example should be preferred, but that Lucia shot is good. Vote for it.

[up]I would say the opposite. Classical examples should be used only if there is no alternative. Media examples always have preference.

I think the result's pretty clear.

Any ideas for a caption?

[up][up] I didn't know that, sorry. Is that an official rule of thumb?

[up] Works well without, I guess.

I would love to come up with a caption...but I'm not familiar with the work at all...no witty points from this corner of TV Tropes. sad

But I do think the image speaks for itself.

I am sick of people saying images don't need captions. Unless an image literally spells out a trope, a caption can always be used to clarify things, as well as add flavor. Saying "no caption" is just a sign of laziness.

[up] I would agree. This was my same complaint in the Immune to Bullets thread when someone said they didn't like any of the caption ideas and went for no caption off the bat as an option (which kinda irked me a little bit).

BUT, I really do think THIS image is different in question. Because for me, the picture says everything that needs to be said, that...and...I've never played this game. So I WANT to come up with something witty, but I'm not familiar with the work, so I'm not sure if anything I could come up with would be good. It's a good image, that works great for the trope, I don't want to hurt either of these things with any sucky caption idea that I might come up with.

I think you guys mean..."Just hangin' around, waiting for a rescue..." ;P

But my vote is still for the Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking one....I find that a bit funnier.

Well, the context is that she's the Blood Sister of the queen (protagonist at this point in the story), and a rebel army who wants to take over threatens to kill her unless the queen surrenders her throne, but since the queen decides to stay strong and not give in to threats, they commence with the execution. Then the REAL protagonists come and save her in one of the coolest cutscenes in the game.

(Offtopic mode off)

My vote goes for Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking. It's just gets a chuckle out of me, and I'm not sure why...but I love it.

Either caption would work for me, honestly...I forgot all about AM&J.

The Wii.

Though you probably want to play the first game beforehand.

Here's information on that specific duo of games. All of the Fire Emblem games take place in their own universes, but most of them come in pairs that continue between one another, so while you should play Path of Radiance to get Radiant Dawn, it's not like you need to play the rest.

I'd be lying if I said that FE 10 (Radiant Dawn, and the source of that cutscene) wasn't one of my favorite games of all time. It's in my top ten, definitely.

Though back on topic, I think the caption should maybe have more correlation with what's actually going on.

I vote for the AM&J caption, unless someone can come up with something funny about the actual events.
