.......what do you think it is going to be?

I'm not really sure, but I can tell you one thing, they'll probably try and "out-epic" Kickassia

And you're wrong. They already said the 3rd anniversary won't be as big as Kickassia.

I personally hope they take a new tack with this year's special; we've already seen them beat the mother-lovin' crap out of each other twice.

How 'bout a detective story? I'd watch that; they could bump off Spoony - guy might as well be a Venture brother with all the resets he gets, so it's not like his death'd ruin anything.

Oo! Yeah. That'd be cool.

I'm glad they're scaling things back this year. Trying to one-up themselves year after year would result in a serious decline in quality after about one or two more specials. They should save the massive things for bigger milestones—the 5th or 10th anniversary, for instance.

Hm...how about a mockumentary on the founding of the site, with how everyone supposedly met everyone? Sure, not a real original idea, but they can get everyone in without them all having to be in the same place (which has got to save money) and I can see they're take on it being hilarious.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.

I just hope they plan it better.

"I just hope they plan it better. "

Whaddya mean by that?

I mean, I wasn't at Kickassia (obviously), but I hadn't heard anything about bad planning.

It's kinda hard to write a movie when you haven't visited the shooting locations beforehand.

Doug said they kind of bit more than they could chew with Kickassia, and the only reason it came out so great to us viewers was because Doug is great at problem-solving and fixing what he has when directing. They said they would probably invest in more professional filming equipment, but other than that, they want to do it on a smaller budget than last time.

How about a musical? It's been proven that Doug, Lindsay, Noah, Lewis, and Sage can all sing.

Joseph, not so much. Look at the AT 4 W 100 video for proof of who can and cannot sing.

I think they already discarded the idea of a musical, with the logistics of it being the issue.

A musical would be cool, but would require way too much work. I like the mockumentary idea, but I think the casts tendency for self-reference would make it too meta. I don't mind a wink at the audience here and there, but some reviewers *

can't seem to able to pull of a straight up, in character joke.

I'm hoping for something other than a fight as well. It's kinda overdone by now.

A nod at the three big sideplots (Vyce and The Entity for Linkara, Spoony's many adversaries and clones, and Dark Nella) would be nice. Maybe Dark Rob could try drum up alternate universe evil counterparts of other reviewers, but they would be an ineffective Quirky Miniboss Squad.

I heard the idea of a murder mystery with no-one knowing who the killer is being kicked around. I kinda like it. Look at all of them - do you really think any of them couldn't be a killer?

Linkara, probably. He's a much more idealistic character than most reviewer-personas.

Well, Luke does have an Inner Serial Killer, but then again, who among us doesn't have?

I like to think of mine as less of a serial killer and more of a cannibal with specific tastes.

^^^ Probably Jesu Otaku, too. I'd have a hard time buying her as the killer.

I think the least homicidal at this point would be Jesu, Linkara, Nash, Lupa, Luke sort of, and Todd, though Todd has a few violent tendencies though mostly directed at himself.

technically it's all the popular B-listers who don't seem like they'd be murdering anyone.

Sage would be too obvious, Joe would need a motive involving him thinking everyone is secretly working for Corporate Commander, The NC just needs a threat to his ego, Spoony.... Is just Spoony, and I don't know enough about Cinema Snob to make any judgements, but i'm fascinated by the 80's Dan route.

I can't help but think a murder mystery would be fun. Kill off Bargo as Ma-Ti, and eventually discover that the mastermind is an evil version of the Nostalgia Critic, who's framing "our" Doug.
