Having played a Lightsworn deck, I have a pretty good idea how powerful Judgement Dragon is, and I'm actually glad I drew it first turn sometimes so I don't worry about milling it. Even if the opponent prepared a counter, all I needed to do was prepare my own counter cards to keep Judgement Dragon from getting Trap Hole'd.

Granted, I haven't won once.....but that's only because THEY FUCKING DISCONNECTED EVERY SINGLE ****ING TIME.

I think you mean Bottomless Trap Hole'd.

But yes, he is powerful, but getting out all three is almost never gonna happen.

Thus, having it unlimited really doesn't mean a single thing at this point.

About the only way he'll be useful if you draw all 3 is in Traditional with Painful Choice. Just Heavy Storm(just in case), Painful Choice the four monsters, summom one JD to nuke the field if you need to, then summon the other 2, instant game. But the chances of this are almost impossible as well.

In fact, at 3, he's bad to play. He's better at 1 or 2 where you can use him more often.

The only way to make him worse is if he had to remove four Lightsworn monsters from play to summon him. But yeah, the requirements are just ridiculous. That's pretty much the sole reason why it's not worth banning or even limiting.

I have a YGO game for the Advanced that I play from time to time. I'm pretty good at it unless I duel Yugi but also can't figure out how to make a deck, just seems like all I can do is look at cards.

It was something like a "World Championship 2007" or something like that. It didn't have very many opponents and wasn't story driven. You could duel Yugi, Grandpa Moto, Joey, Tristan, Tea, Bakura, Weevil, Rex, and Mako. That's it.

Are you sure you don't mean 2005? 2006 and 2007 don't have the first series' duelists.

Anyway, http://www.gamefaqs.com/gba/925904-yu-gi-oh-7-trials-to-glory-world-championship/faqs/35823 Gives you all the information you need. You can scroll/search for the Game Controls section.

Well, hopefully that link will help you. It's been too long since I played, so I can't give any personal advice. Plus, that link should give you any specific tips against duelists.

http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/April_2005_Lists This is the current list, although I'm not sure if it used the exact same one in-game.

I'm starting to get annoyed by these newer games offering the chance to respond to everything. "Your opponent is about to enter his End Phase, do you want to trigger a card?" Hey, game, do I have a card that I could use at this time? No? Then don't present that message!

Lightsworn was never an OTK deck to start with. Don't play it that way. Lightsworn is explosive, but needs too much time on the field to turn the deck into a lucksack. Judgment Dragon is inferior some other lightsworn cards, such as Celestia, Lumina and Honest, simply because his conditions are so restrictive with an underwhelming effect for his condition. The destroy the field effect may seem nice, but lightsworm combos need cards on field to work, thus making him a last-ditch card rather than a trump card like DAD or Christya. Opening hands with Judgment Dragon are some of the worst hands possible, and the most common way to dead draw.

Royal Decree is a no for mainboard material. It has some utility as a side card, but IMO, Trap Stun is better. You want to keep your traps to keep the little lightsworns alive and not overwhelmed by some Synchro combo on turn 1. Threatening Roar is good as a chainable trap in MST format; it keeps Lyla alive so you can go for Celestia and counterattack, or destroy back row. Don't rely onto cards like Tragoedia and Gorz to make your defense for you. They function as the second line, the backup soldiers (lololol).

A friend drew a picture of my character, Akira!

You might recognize the design as the same one from Sacred Cards/Reshef of Destruction.

I just had the best duel ever in Over the Nexus. My opponent was Figaro in the Underground.

Turn 1: Opponent summons Skilled Dark Magician (1900 ATK). Sets two face downs. (My LP: 8000; Figaro's LP: 8000)

Turn 2: (Hand: Batteryman Charger, Super Voltech Dragon, Magic Cylinder, Inferno Reckless Summon, Battery Charger, Divine Wrath) I set Magic Cylinder and Divine Wrath due to not drawing any monsters that are under Level 5. (My LP: 8000; Figaro's LP: 8000)

Turn 3: Opponent sacrifices SDM to summon Dark Magician Girl. Upon attacking, she activates Magician's Circle which summons another DMG. Using Magic Cylinder, I reflected 2000 damage to her LP, but took 2000 as well. (My LP: 6000; Figaro's LP: 6000)

Turn 4: Draw Batteryman AA. Set in DEF Mode. (My LP: 6000; Figaro's LP: 6000)

Turn 5: Opponent summons Skilled Dark Magician. Batteryman AA is destroyed and I take 3900 LP Damage from DMG and SDM. (My LP: 2100; Her LP: 6000)

Turn 6: Draw Short Circuit. Activate Battery Charger for 500 LP to revive Batteryman AA. Activate Inferno Reckless Summon, summoning two more Batterymen AA to the field in ATK Mode (Batteryman AA: 3000 ATK each due to effect). She summoned two more SDM in defense mode. Activate Short Circuit to destroy all cards on her side of the field. Attack twice for victory. (My LP: 1600; Figaro's LP: 0)

Batterymen are the best cards.

So, this is probably a really stupid idea, but does anyone else think a SMT-style Yu-Gi-Oh! Mon RPG has potential? You could go around collecting Duel Monsters, and they'd all have skills related to how they're used in the card game, and you could fuse them together to get better ones, like a Goldd and a Sillva gets you a Reign-Beaux, and then two of those gets you a Grapha or something, and you'd go around collecting Plot Coupons and eventually fight the Light of Destruction or someone. I know YGO games that don't follow the card game haven't had the best track record, but...

Falsebound Kingdom has some similar ideas to it.

But I'd like to see it go farther than that. There's a lot of neat storyline potential, as well as tons of unique Monsters besides the status ones(Dark Magician stuff, Blue-Eyes stuff, Gate Guardian, the Egyptian Gods, and other Joey/Kaiba/Yugi cards).

I'd like to see more Rituals shown. There was barely any in that game. :/
