^ Really? MAL says she has a role in The World God Only Knows II, which is airing....now. Unless she plans to quit before the fall season...

So if you Yukiko's VA has retired, who do you guys think would make a good replacement for her?

Also, I hope Johnny Yong Bosch reprises both his roles.

Wait, did Amanda Winn Lee actually fully retire? Last I heard, she was still doing video game roles.

[up] The Wikipedia article doesn't mention her retiring from Video Game roles, so maybe that.

I wonder how they would deal with the introduction scene with Morooka and all the social link things.

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.

"YOU CALLING ME A LOSER?!"

Most likely, they'll cut most of the other social links, save for the party member ones.

I get a feeling they'll keep at least bits of the family ones too.

I think we will see some of them not all, and not all in the form that was in the game though.

[up] Most likely, the party links, Hierophant, Justice, the plot S-Links will be interspersed throughout the series. Possibly the school S-Links. The rest... most likely not. I highly doubt it'll work for an anime adaptation.

It'll be pretty weird if JYB reprises his roles from the game. The confrontation with Adachi in Magatsu Inaba would get...very strange.

I could see the non-school social links getting at least one-episode to themselves. Basically an abridged version of their S.link that's resolved by episodes end.

That would never work they only have 26 (widely believed to be 26) episodes to work with.

I could see 5-10 minute DVD extras but thats about it.

26? That's it? Something like Persona 4 needs should be 50 or so episodes to get things fleshed out. When was it even hinted we'd only be getting 26 episodes anyway?

50 episode series come out in the spring most of the time, fall is the time for 26 episode series to get switched out. (And 13 episode series its every season they change)

And really to cover the game and doing it in a way that wont get stale 26 episodes would be about right.

[up][up] Fifty episodes is too much. Let's face it, most of Persona 4's playtime is due to how much dungeon crawling there is. And for an Urban Fantasy / murder mystery series, too much focus on the daily lives of the characters would just be boring. At best, the other social links would be relegated to some breather episodes in-between arcs. Two-cour is probably enough to cover all of the important material in the story.

I think if you count up the weeks, starting from October, 26 would also put the finale right around the end of the game. That is, March.

March 20-21, to be exact. That is, assuming no disasters befall Japan in that timeframe. Toaru Majutsu No Index, at 24 episodes, should've ended around that time if the tsunami didn't happen, so 26 should be about right.

This is the first time I heard about this. Strange, though, for a game to get animated when it's OP Theme has the ff line:

"C'mon, let go of the remote. D'you know your letting all the junk flood in?"
