Since when were frogs slow? Their massive thighs(by standards of animals size of frogs) let them leap and swim with surprising speeds.

Thought of as slow. And sedentary. It doesn't matter what they're really capable of. If you make the Salarians look froggish, the instant perception will be that they are slow and stupid.

I had no idea that Mass Effect was popular enough in Japan to warrant an anime. With Bioware's views on JRP Gs, I thought they would have done a Western Animation version.

If the random sites I went to is correct...Mass Effect sold well for a 360 title in Japan. Not sure how popular 360 is there.

But it still lost to Idol Master, that hostess game(Dream Club?), and...Wii Fit Plus.

...the idea of Wii Fit selling better than anything kinda amuses. Since it's not like it actually works...at best it'll just slow down or stop weight gain, which anyone and their grandma can do without a game helping them...

Don't take my word like it's a grain of salt though, I have no idea where to find any trustworthy sales figures...so it's just a random googling.

PS-oops, nvm, I just figured out why Wii Fit is so popular.

Really, I don't understand what are animes of western games for, to get Japanese buy the games? To get anime fans play the games? To appeal for everyone?

It doesn't really make sense since most western people seem to have bias against Japanese stuff because of the fact it was fad at some point...

To make money. Obviously someone was persuasive enough that it would to convince people to make it.

Yeaaaaah, but I don't really see how it can make money SUCCESSFULLY.

I mean, Japanese tend to have bias against Western games, Western gamers who play only Western games have bias against Japanese stuff....

Well the thing that strikes me as funny is that Mass Effect 2 sold less than 9000 copies in Japan but it seems that Funi is running this show. IIRC I remember hearing how Funi was going to start making anime which is probably this.

[up] That can't be right. Random obscure JRPGS sell more than that over here. You're not listening to Sankaku Complex are you?

Does this game series have a counterpart for Dueling Games?

So someone suggested playing Mass Effect to me. The thing is that I have already played MF, and one particular thing bothered me in the game... orders. I'm not really a fan of games, where the player is basically about following orders (or you're an evil person :/). So I'm wondering if that changes at any point in the game? I really prefer playing characters that are free lancers/independent (Morrowind is an exception, but you can basically diss the main plot).
