I'm definitely not a fan of the realistic look. I haven't even played the game before (I also don't have a 360), but if they had a cartoon style before, why change it?

As the article says...these are from 2008, when the game was still in production.
The amount of stuff like this that turns up showing off what got cancelled in favor turning them into a casual gaming factory/licensor of ports is depressing.
